What Each User Level Can Do
Chat itself is unlimited at every level, including voice and video. The levels differ only in presentation and in who can reach whom.

Nothing about the conversation is rationed. Guests get the same unlimited text, voice and video as everybody else. The difference is badges, avatars and access to VIP members.

Why VIP messaging is restricted
VIP members can only be private-messaged by other VIP members. It exists because verified female members are given VIP at no charge, and without it their private windows fill faster than anyone can read them.
