I wonder how many times we’ve been someone’s almost.

Someone they almost stayed for.
Someone they almost chose.
Someone they almost called back.
There are people who were once a very important part of our lives, and then somehow became strangers with memories. No fight, no hatred, no dramatic ending just distance, and then silence.

And maybe that’s the strangest thing about people we can mean everything to someone at one point and almost nothing a few years later.
I once read something that stayed with me some people are chapters, not the whole story. And maybe that’s why not every ending needs an explanation.
Sometimes people leave because their part in your story is simply over.

But I also like to think that somewhere, someone remembers a version of us that even we have forgotten. Maybe the way we laughed. Maybe a conversation we thought was ordinary. Maybe one completely insignificant evening that meant something to them.

We may never know whose life we quietly became a memory in.
Okay, I’ll stop being philosophical now. I’ve already overthought enough for one night.

Bye...
