When the "Diva"—the part that is confident, expressive, and full of life—goes to sleep, it’s usually because she’s exhausted from trying too hard or being hurt too much.
"Annabelle" taking over suggests:
  • Protection: You’ve switched to someone who is tougher, maybe a bit more detached, and definitely not to be messed with.
  • Boundary Setting: You’re no longer over-explaining or sending those long paragraphs; you’re just handling business with a bit of a chill.
  • Silence: Since you mentioned earlier that you didn't want to lose someone in the silence, letting "Annabelle" take the lead might be your way of finally letting the silence happen so you can heal.
It takes a lot of energy to keep "protesting" for a connection. Sometimes, letting a different side of you take the wheel is the only way to get some peace......
