The door had barely clicked shut before Elias had her pinned. The air between them was electric, thick with the kind of silence that screams.
"Finally,"
he rasped, his voice dropping an octave as he stepped into her
space.
"I thought you’d never stop talking to that guy at the bar."
Maya tilted her head back, a daring smirk playing on her lips despite her racing pulse.
"Jealousy looks good on you, Elias. But I think you’re just impatient."
"Impatient?"
He let out a low, rough laugh, his hand sliding to the nape of her neck, his thumb grazing her jawline.
"I’ve been losing my mind for three hours. Watching the way you look in that dress and not being able to touch you?Aghhh you're going to be the death of me darling. That’s torture."
She stepped closer, her fingers tangling in the front of his shirt, pulling him down until their lips were a heartbeat apart.
"So, what are you going to do about it?"
"Everything,"
he whispered against her mouth.
"I’m going to do everything."
Maya let out a shaky breath.
"Stop talking, then."
"Make me,"
he challenged.
She didn't hesitate. She closed the gap, her kiss effectively silencing him, turning the tension into a sudden, frantic heat that made the rest of the world vanish.
