Both are crap to a very good extent!
The first case arises when one is nothing
but an immatured fool!
and the second one arises,
when one is nothing but a stubborn rascal!
People who value emotions and respect humans, often
don't get into that tangle. Fools and Stubborn rascals are exceptions though!
