What Hurts More in Love?

Both hurt in different ways. Losing someone you love feels like grief and emptiness, while realizing the feelings were never equal feels more like a quiet kind of disappointment that changes how you see everything that came before. It’s hard to say which is worse—both stay with you in their own way.
Well said! Both leave different scars, and healing takes time!

What hurts more: losing someone you love, or realizing they never loved you the same way?
there is scale to measure what hurts more ... losing someone you love will hurt more when there is commitment from other side as well ... one sided love won't hurt with that intensity.
Realising they never loved you ... this itself says there was some relationship or were on love path and then you realize ... of course it will hurt more.

Anyway, it depends on how much emotional you are. There will be few with thick skin, for them nothing matters.

Losing someone you love hurts… but realizing they never loved you the way you loved them? That hurts in a way you can’t explain. Because you’re not just losing them, you’re grieving the love you thought you had. ✨

Realizing they never loved you the same way hurts more,
because you’re not just losing a person,
you’re losing the future you imagined with them

Losing someone you love hurts, yet closure is possible.
Realizing they never loved you as you imagined brings so many complicated emotions that the very fabric of trust is shattered.
It is difficult for me to explain, but it makes you question yourself.
