A rose doesn’t grow thorns because it wants to hurt anyone; it grows them because not every hand knows how to hold it. Maybe what looks like attitude is sometimes just a way of protecting what’s soft within.

That is absolutely true It is not about displaying an attitude rather it is about protecting one's peace and boundaries Evolution itself has taught us to defend ourselves...
