Oh my sweet, sweet love,
for you I would go beyond and above.
Oh how you ache in my chest,
yet you sit there comfortably, you've even made a nest.
Oh what do I do with you,
how can I find the peace and rest.
Oh you're burning so gentle,
I am trying hard but I cannot settle.
Oh I can feel you in my bones,
burning so strong you could melt stones.
Oh the stones of the walls I have built,
laid one by one with sorrow and guilt.
Oh if only I could set you free,
to dance and fly, as how you're supposed to be.
Oh you could move mountains and sea,
I can feel you getting restless, wanting to flee.
Oh my sweet, longing love,
I have no one to give you, no one I could think of.
Oh just a little bit more,
until then you have a home in me and in this poem.
for you I would go beyond and above.
