If I had to choose, I’d rather lose all my memories than lose the ability to make new ones.

Memories shape who we are, but the ability to create new experiences is what keeps life alive. If you can’t make new memories, every moment becomes trapped in the present—nothing grows, nothing accumulates. Relationships would fade because you wouldn’t remember conversations, laughter, or shared struggles. Life would feel like pressing“reset”every few minutes.
