The sunlight falls in shades of gold,
I sit with him, my hand in his hold.
I rest my head upon his chest,

His heartbeat soft, it feels like rest.
1000039253.jpg
He tucks my hair behind my ear,
Whispers words I love to hear.
The world outside can rush and spin,
But time stands still when I’m with him.
1000039254.jpg
We lean out where the skyline gleams,
Laughing softly, sharing dreams.
He pulls me close, I feel so light,

Like stars have woken in daylight.
1000039255.jpg
As evening paints the sky above,
We sit in quiet, wrapped in love.
I hold his hand, our fingers twine,

In simple moments, yours and mine.

Home isn’t four walls. It’s the one person who feels like peace.

A place can give shelter, but only a person gives warmth.
When someone makes you feel safe to be yourself, they become your home.

Distance doesn’t matter then, their presence alone feels familiar and comforting.

Hello and good evening Ms. . Very well written. Unfortunately I am not much of a romantic but rather a cold person. I keep my emotions to myself. But yet again as Ms. @Honey bunch and @Illusion baccha gave their inputs I agree. A house is not just brick and mud but it's all about the feelings and emotions of people who stay in. Good post Ms. . God bless stay safe. Cheers!!!!

I feel that whoever I have spoken to well, whoever understands me, is close to me, and there are some people here on this site who are very close to me. :)

✨️ Your words feel like standing at the edge of a quiet evening, where the sky is melting into gold and everything that matters narrows down to one heartbeat. There’s such tenderness in the way you describe him.... not in grand gestures, but in the softness of a hand in yours, the brush of fingers tucking hair behind an ear, the stillness that makes the world fade. That’s what makes it powerful. Love here isn’t loud....it’s steady.
It’s safe. It’s home.
The line “But time stands still when I’m with him” carries so much weight. Because that’s what home really is, isn’t it? Not a place.....but a presence. Someone whose chest becomes your pillow, whose heartbeat becomes your anchor. Someone who makes the rushing world pause long enough for you to b reathe.
The last time someone felt like home to me wasn’t about fireworks or intensity (lol that's another topic)....it was about calm. It was in a quiet moment, sitting close enough that words weren’t necessary. Just shared air. Shared silence. That kind of silence that doesn’t ache.....it heals. And in that stillness, I realized home isn’t always where you’re understood perfectly… it’s where you’re accepted completely.
Your writing captures that rare kind of love....the kind that feels like sunlight on skin and safety in a storm. It reminds us that sometimes the most extraordinary thing in the world is simply having someone beside you, fingers intertwined, while the sky changes color.
Thank you for putting that feeling into words so beautifully✨

The most beautiful home is finding a little space in someone's heart.
