I once plucked a flower,
and later gave it water too,
yet that tender little plant never bloomed-
perhaps I had caused it pain.
Then I touched it with love,
natured it gently from my heart,
in the sunlight of apology, the shade of care,
slowly I helped it grow again.
Years later, when I looked back,
time had changed its hue-
the flower I had once broken
now blossomed into many more.
That day my heart understood;
it is better to heal than to harm;
even pain can give birth to seasons,
when the intention within is true
