Is sex important in love?

Sex isn’t the whole story of love—but it can be a powerful language of it.
When built on trust, communication, and consent, intimacy can deepen emotional closeness, express affection, and help partners feel seen and valued. But love is also shown through listening, patience, respect, and everyday care.

Sex should never be pressure, obligation, or a measure of love. It should be a choice made freely, together.

Sex is a personal choice, not a proof of love.
If both want it, with trust, consent and respect it can deepen closeness and make both feel seen and valued.
If one doesn't want it, that choice should also be respected fully, with patience and listening.
Real love is freedom to say YES and freedom to say NO, without fear or pressure.

എന്റെ അഭിപ്രായത്തിൽ പ്രണയത്തിൽ ആയിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ both love and sex is important. It is another way of showing love towards our partner.... ❤️

yes sex is a part of love but it's not an important factor in love. Partners could be living in different places due to their personal and professional choices but there is still love without a touch.

Im a person who loves physical touch. Holding hands, touching their cheeks, playing with their lips etc etc...

If I love a person I cannot take my hands off them. I would be all over them and I prefer they do the same with me as well.

Sex is part of love. It's just the next stage in your love life after trust, understanding and everything related are established.
And just like people told here that's not only in love but that is also required to sweeten your love life ❤️

respectfully disagree. Love doesn’t need sex to prove its depth. Two people can share a genuine, deep connection without physical intimacy. Sex may be part of love for some, but it should never define it. Real love goes far beyond the physical. ❤️

Agree with you. Not just sex.. anything in a relationship when forced, becomes toxic and inappropriate.

Love is not just about physical closeness, but the trust, respect, and emotional connection that make two hearts feel safe with each other...

For me, physical touch is definitely a love language of its own.

I’m a sucker for cuddles, kisses, hugs, forehead kisses, hand-holding, playful bites, long embraces, and all those little moments of closeness.

And yes, sex matters to me... Veryyy much....!! Not as proof of love, but as another way of expressing intimacy...

I want the affection, the passion, the tenderness, and the comfort of being close to someone who makes me feel safe enough to be completely myself.

Because for me, it’s never just about the physical; it’s about the person, the connection, and everything that makes the touch mean something... :heart1:

I can't think of a love where there's no sex.. Period...!!
