Is sex important in love?

Sex isn’t the whole story of love—but it can be a powerful language of it.
When built on trust, communication, and consent, intimacy can deepen emotional closeness, express affection, and help partners feel seen and valued. But love is also shown through listening, patience, respect, and everyday care.

Sex should never be pressure, obligation, or a measure of love. It should be a choice made freely, together.

I’ve always believed that true love lives in the spirit, not in the flesh. Sex isn't just unimportant; it can actively ruin the sacred space between two people. When you truly love someone, you crave a connection of minds and shared suffering. Physical intimacy feels like an animalistic trap that pulls something divine down into the dirt. Love is beautiful when it stays pure in the soul.

Thanks for sharing your views. But sex between partners is also divine right?

It feels divine only in theory, but in reality, it's a trap. True divinity belongs to the spirit, to the mind, and to the pure longing you feel when you are apart. The moment you introduce the physical demand of sex, that pure, elevated magic gets weighed down by earthly mechanics and expectations. It doesn't elevate love; it actually compromises the spiritual freedom of just being together.

yes sex important ahnu but it doesn't mean that you should definitely do. sometimes i have too much love for her to look her in lustfully...oops

Strangely enough, everyone who has shared their views is right yet each remains incomplete.
Love is like a balance, one side of which is fear, lust and physical comforts. Another side is communication, understanding, respect and soul connection.
Whichever side you look at, if you remove love, it just doesn't sustain becomes vapid.
So love is the essence, no matter which side you prefer...
