Just Passing Through ‍

Anomie

Newbie
It's funny how a simple curiosity can turn into something you never expected. I came across him in an online chatroom, found him interesting, and for once, I gathered the courage to approach him. I didn't want anything from him, nor did I have any expectations about what this could become. I just wanted to talk to him, to have one little conversation with someone who caught my attention. Maybe my approach was wrong, maybe I came across differently than I intended, or perhaps my attempt to start a conversation made him uncomfortable. I don't know, and I won't pretend to understand what goes through his mind. I can only say that my intentions were simple. I wasn't trying to claim his attention, invade his space, or force my way into his world. I just wanted to know what it felt like to talk to him, even if it was only for a little while. But I can sense him retreating, and I respect that enough to step back. I have no regrets about approaching him, at least I was brave enough to act on my curiosity instead of wondering what if. I wasn't asking for a place in his life, I just wanted a moment of his time. And if even that wasn't meant to happen, I'll leave him with the same freedom he had before I ever said hello.

Way to go, girl. I am proud of you. Take initiative and chances, as you rightly said, "What if?"—this is what regrets are made of.
Please do keep writing here. I feel you have a great ability to express yourself and would love to read more.

Sometimes, a simple hello takes courage. Never regret genuine intentions, and always respect the space of others. The right connections happen naturally.... :)

Never regret reaching out curiosity and being brave enough to say hello are never wrong things You didn't make anything uncomfortable at all Sometimes conversations just have their own quiet rhythm but I truly appreciate your honesty and simple intentions Wishing you the absolute best.

Stepping back and letting someone remain in their own space is a sign of true grace, far greater than trying to force their attention.

Sometimes, the bravest thing a heart can do is knock on a door without expecting to be let in.
And perhaps there's a quiet kind of beauty in leaving without resentment, knowing you were sincere even if the moment was not meant to be yours.
Not every curiosity is meant to become a connection; some are simply meant to teach us that courage is beautiful, even when it finds no answer.
