Money Can't Buy Happiness…?

KnightDark

Wellknown Ace

We often hear "Money can’t buy happiness"

I agree that
having more money doesn't automatically mean having more peace, meaningful relationships, or inner happiness.

BUT

Money may not directly buy happiness, but it can buy comfort, time, better opportunities, healthcare, security, education, travel, and freedom from certain struggles. The difference between standing in a packed general compartment and sitting comfortably in an AC coach is a simple example of how money can change an experience.

So perhaps the better question is:

Can money buy happiness, or can it simply buy the conditions in which happiness becomes easier to find?

What do you think? Is “money can't buy happiness” still true in today's world? :think1:

Money alone can't buy happiness, but money in the hand of right person can buy happiness.

Money gives you options, not joy. What comes from within cannot be bought.

I get the point,
But I feel that assuming joy comes only from within might be a bit of old Perspective.:)

Today, we can also see how our external circumstances, experiences, security, and freedom can influence happiness. Money may not guarantee joy, but it can certainly contribute to the conditions that allow us to experience it.

Money can buy everything. Sorry to say money get's you power and maybe not internal happiness agreed yet without moolah one cannot work. Happiness is all about an internal peace yet without money one does not get it. Kindly do not mind my saying this here but one wants to take his gf or wife out , but without money it's always a clash. In todays day and age money rules. God bless!!. Cheers!!

I agree that financial stability removes many obstacles to happiness But options and security are just tools how we experience them depends on our internal state Plenty of people have all the freedom and security in the world and still feel unfulfilled So while money clears the road joy is still an inside job...

Money can make life easier, but it can’t decide what makes us happy. It can buy comfort, choices, and experiences, but the value we find in them still depends on us. Maybe money can create the space for happiness, but it can’t create happiness itself.

Yeah, I get the point,
but denying that money has any importance in a happier life is like saying the foundation of a house doesn’t matter because the beauty comes from inside. Money may not create happiness by itself, but having enough of it can provide
security, freedom, experiences, and peace of mind.

That general vs. AC coach example hits home! Money buys choices, comfort, and freedom from constant struggles—and that makes all the difference. ✨"
