Not that I haven't seen a tree before
Not that I sat beneath them
Even I shared a few of my feelings and emotions
But to confess
You are a bit different
As I saw you from a distance
I felt a strange feeling
As if you are the tree
I was searching all along
A wide canopy
Providing shelter all through the seasons
Even dawn to dusk and beyond
You took me under your care
Not with sympathies
But full of empathy
Listening to my every mood swings
Like a true friend
Gender never came in between
A passionate ear
Compassionate heart
Like a beacon of light
You showed the right path
Bearing my kid like mischiefs
Even a single line drawn
An abstract painting
My low voice humming
My low light portrait
What not
My childhood dreams to my latest puzzles
Those books I read
Those songs I heard
Those tunes I played
Moments of despair
Unfounded fears
Minute lasting joy
You received everything
With a smile on your face
You spoke less but deep
Sharing with me
Your immense wisdom
Each line acknowledged with heart
Shall I tell you something !
I call you my tree
But in reality you are my
Confession booth
Not even a whisper that I made
Ever heard outside
On whom I can rely upon for decades to come
Thank you for the patience
