Here are some KDRAMA classics!!!
The Heirs
“Rich kids, high stakes, and that irresistible forbidden love.”
This was the very
first K-drama I ever watched, and it honestly set the bar. Lee Min Ho as Kim Tan? Instant heartthrob. There was something so addictive about the drama's world of elite high schoolers navigating pressure, power, and love. What really stuck with me was the tension—every glance, every defiance of class boundaries felt electric. And even though the "rich boy meets poor girl" trope is classic, it felt fresh through all the drama, the angst, and the layered friendships.
Why I loved it: The classic chaebol setup, the love-against-all-odds theme, and that intoxicating sense of teenage rebellion.
Boys Over Flowers
“The original K-drama obsession.”
Everyone talks about this one, and for good reason. It’s iconic. Goo Jun Pyo was impossible not to fall for, and Geum Jan Di? She had so much grit. It was chaotic, dramatic, even over-the-top at times—but in the best way possible. I loved how it embraced every K-drama cliché and made them unforgettable. Watching this felt like entering a whole new world—one where love was messy, loyalty was tested, and makeovers could change your life.
The refreshing bit: Jan Di’s fire. She never let the glitz or the bullying define her. She held her ground and kept her humor through it all.
My Love From Another Star
“A love story that’s literally out of this world.”
This one had me laughing
and tearing up. Cheon Song Yi is easily my favorite heroine—she’s dramatic, hilarious, and somehow still so relatable. I loved how she wasn’t your typical shy lead; she was loud, confident, and just a little bit unhinged in the best way. And Do Min Joon? The aloof alien with a centuries-old soul who somehow falls for her chaos? Perfection. The show balanced humor, heartache, and fantasy so well that it never felt too heavy or too silly. It was just… magical.
Why it stood out: The unlikely pairing, the constant banter, and that slow, sweet emotional unraveling between two total opposites.
Cinderella and the Four Knights
“Four rich boys, one no-nonsense girl, and a soundtrack that lives rent-free in my head.”
This was such a feel-good watch. I was completely hooked by the idea of one grounded, determined girl walking into a mansion full of moody, privileged boys—and somehow making them better people. Eun Ha Won’s sass and independence were so refreshing. She didn’t let herself get swept away by money or drama—she
called them out, and they needed it. Plus, the OSTs? So beautiful and emotional, I still listen to them.
The best part: Watching her earn their respect—not just their love—was way more satisfying than any fairy tale ending.
This is one of my fave ost songs
