I can answer this question
In earlier times when man was a nomad n he reared cattle for milk and meat, he wanted to keep a tab on his cow because they v wander to find food. Again someone may take the v cow away too or it can be hunted. To ensure he could keep am eye on his livestock man put a bell around the cows neck so that the noise informed him where the cow c was
