To the people who have forgotten me,
There was a time when you were a part of my everyday life. Your names were somewhere in my days, your words were part of my conversations, and your presence made some ordinary moments feel a little more special. Today, you are no longer a part of my days. You have become a part of my memories instead.
Funny how quickly time can turn familiar people into strangers. There was a time when we could talk for hours, laugh over the smallest things, share silly jokes, and make memories without even realizing that one day those moments would become something we could only look back on.
Today, I don't wish to bring you back. Not because those moments meant nothing, but because I know they belonged to a particular time in our lives. Bringing everything back may not bring back the same feeling, the same innocence, or the same happiness. Some things are beautiful precisely because they happened only once.
So, I will leave you where you belong, in that little corner of my memories where we were still close. I will remember the conversations, the laughter, the silly moments, and all those simple days when having each other around felt so natural. I don't need to erase them just because life moved on.
Perhaps remembering someone with warmth, even after they have forgotten us, is also a quiet form of caring. Not every person who enters our life is meant to stay forever. Some people come to share a season, a few beautiful days, or a chapter that eventually comes to an end. But that doesn't make their presence any less meaningful.
So, to the people who have forgotten me, Thank You. Thank you for once being a part of my days and for leaving behind memories that I can still look back on with a smile.
I don't need you to come back.
I don't need you to remember me.
Just stay beautiful in the little corner of my memory where we once belonged to each other.
Some people may leave our lives, but the beautiful moments we shared with them never really leave us. They simply become old photographs in the heart- quiet, untouched, and forever part of our story.
