A traveller walked across the ever shifting desert sands on his journey towards the pyramid as the sun shone high in the clear blue sky. As he walked onwards across the sand, the wind began to blow stronger covering the footprints he left behind him, after an hour of walking he could see something golden just above the sand dune ahead of him, as he reached the top of the sand dune he saw it.

He saw the enormous pyramid of Samshir in the distance, he walked onwards across the desert sands and towards the pyramid of Samshir. After a long walk in the burning desert heat, the traveller had finally arrived at his destination just as the sun had started to set, he grabbed his water pouch and drank a little of the water inside then walked a little closer towards the pyramid.

A few minutes later he stood in front of the pyramid of Samshir and turned around to watch the sun set beyond the horizon. A short while later, the sun had set and the moon rose higher into the clear night sky, as the traveller turned back around and faced the pyramid everything became eerily silent, moments later a strange mist had begun to appear around the pyramid and the surrounding area.

As the traveller slowly walked through the mist closer towards the pyramid he began to hear voices whispering all around him. Suddenly he stopped and stood still, the torches that the other travellers had left behind glowed in the mist, then suddenly an eerie gust of wind extinguished the torches and then vanished, the traveller walked ever closer towards the pyramid of Samshir.

His pulse quickened and beads of sweat dripped from his forehead a little as he moved a little closer, after a few moments he reached out his hand towards the entrance to the pyramid. A few seconds later he became eerily cold as he pressed his hand against the pyramids entrance, the voices around him continued to whisper as the pyramid entrance began to open.

As the entrance to the pyramid opened, a stream of black smoke emerged from within and began to surround the traveller. For a few moments the traveller felt a hand upon his shoulder, his eyes widened as the cold feeling spread throughout his body, he dared not to turn around in fear as to what he would see behind him, he stood there frozen and unable to move as the moonlight shone down upon the pyramid.

The traveller began to think to himself, he couldn't just stand there and do nothing, then moments later he took a deep breath and slowly turned around. A few seconds later his jaw dropped and his eyes widened, there in front of him stood the spirit of a long dead Pharaoh, the spirit's gold and blue mask shimmering in the moonlight, raggedy bandages hanging from it's thin decayed body.

The smell of rotten flesh in the air, and eerie black mist surrounded the spirit as it slowly lifted it's hand towards it's face. Moments later the spirit grabbed it's golden mask and slowly removed it, the traveller slowly moved back in horror as it revealed it's face, the spirit stared at him with it's pitch black coloured eyes and began to move slowly towards him, the traveller backed away slowly in fear as the spirit moved closer.

The traveller moved inside the pyramid of Samshir and into the dark chamber, he grabbed a torch off the chamber wall and continued to move backwards away from the spirit. The spirit followed him through the chambers of the pyramid until the traveller had reached a room with a dead end, the spirit moved ever closer and reached out towards the traveller as he desperately searched for a way out.

The flames from the torch began to flicker as the spirits hand moved closer and closer towards him, then suddenly the torch went out and an ear shattering scream filled the room and echoed through the pyramid. Moments later the spirit had vanished, there on the floor beside the extinguished torch, the traveller sat in the corner of the room, his skin decayed and his eyes pitch black.

The spirit had drained his life force, his lifeless body slowly began to wither and decay as an eerie wind echoed through the chambers of the pyramid. Within moments the travellers body turned into dust, meanwhile outside the spirit had reappeared, it stood atop the pyramid and unleashed a disturbing and eerie groan as the raggedy bandages hanging from it's decayed body moved in the wind and the moon turned red like blood.
