The Path (Poem I Wrote)

[Billy]

I'm just a man on a path to an origin unknown
But to get there, I know I must do it alone
Paths may join and I meet others along the way
People come and go, I just take it day by day
You fight for life and you keep on going
Not sure why though, new paths keep showing
Paths fade away at times and you get lost
But you fight to find it again at any cost
You got the choice to give up and just stop
But regardless of it all you refuse to drop
I awake each day and continue my quest
Unsure whether to go North, East, South or West
But eventually this path must come to an end
You die and are reborn and continue it once again
The journey never stops, it must keep going
With the end of each path, there is a new beginning

It kinda reminded me of a poem I wrote about two years ago. It's interesting observe the dynamics of life and how things happen.
