The Atlantean
Epic Legend
The golden sun shone over an ancient land
As a warrior stood alone on the desert sand
He walked for miles under the sun's heat
Barely able to stand on his two feet
He crawled across the hot desert sand
Then looked up and saw a woman holding out her hand
The woman said , "Take my hand and come with me"
She led him to an oasis near the sea
He splashed the cool water on his face
Then the warrior said , "this is a beautiful place"
They travelled onwards towards the shining sea
Waves bobbing up and down as far as they could see
They climbed on a boat and sailed west
They sailed for a while and found a place to rest
The warrior thanked the woman for saving his life
She held his hands and said , "don't you remember me , I'm your wife"
The warrior looked confused as he scratched his head
Then he said, "I lost my wife a long time ago she is dead"
Suddenly the woman vanished into the sands
The warrior placed his face into his hands
He realised it was all just a mirage that happened in his head
He looked down and saw his own body laying in the sand...he was dead.
