As the orc's club swung through the air towards them Lynx swiftly drew his sword and thrust it through the air , his sword slashed the orc's club in half. "My...club...grahh" said the orc , the orc charged towards Valeria as she took out her wand and grabbed her firmly and picked her up , "die...sorceress.." said the orc...Lynx chased the orc as it ran across the room "put her down now!" he said , the orc stopped and held Valeria up in the air getting itself ready to throw her into the machinery.
"Put me down you filthy orc , how dare you touch me" said Valeria , the orc moved it's arms as it started to throw her... Lynx quickly grabbed his dagger from his belt and threw it towards the orc. His dagger flew through the air towards the orc and hit it in the eye , "grabbing" shouted the orc as it dropped Valeria , she shouted as she managed to hold onto a metal rail , "help me!" she said , Lynx ran towards her as the orc stumbled around , "I'm coming Valeria" said Lynx.
Lynx grabbed her arm just in time before she could fall into the machinery , he pulled her up and moved her to safety and held her close , they watched as the orc stumbled more and then fell over the metal rail and into the machinery. The orc was crushed by the machinery and it's blood all over the gears and glass tubes , "ok let's fix that mess the orc made" said Lynx as he and Valeria walked up to the control panel and then looked at it closely , "hmm I have no idea what to press" said Lynx.
Valeria looked at the buttons and then pressed one of them , "that seemed to help" she said , "hmm yes , maybe if I press that gold button" said Lynx , suddenly the lights in the room stopped flickering. "I'll check the alleyway and you press another button" he said , Lynx looked outside at the alleyway as Valeria pressed a red button , "wrong button, the lights in the alleyway have gone out" said Lynx , Valeria pressed the yellow button and the alleyway lights came back on.
"The lights are on but still flickering" said Lynx , moments later Valeria saw a loose power cord , "wait I think I see the problem" she said... Valeria pushed the power cord into the control panel and then "ZING"...the alleyway lights shone bright "good work, they're working properly now" said Lynx , a few minutes later Lynx and Valeria walked out of the alleyway and headed towards the market and brought some supplies for their journey , the two moons shone bright in the night sky as Lynx and Valeria walked towards the tavern.
They walked inside the tavern and sat down by the window and ordered some food and drinks , a short time later their food and drinks had arrived. "What did you get" asked Valeria , "I have grilled lamb with mashed potatoes , peas and gravy" said Lynx , "I have roasted lantern fish with cabbage , carrots and orange sauce" said Valeria as she smiled , they took a sip of their bubble-vee tea and then started to eat their meals , they talked a little and planned their journey as they continued to eat.
"I know just the place to take you next" said Lynx , "oh I'm sure the next place will be as good as Starcore city" said Valeria , "oh it will , maybe even better haha" said Lynx...
