The wind howled and brushed against the sands whipping them into the air as the rays of sunlight shone upon the desert, a sandstorm was approaching and threatened to envelop everything. I took my faithful horse and looked for shelter amongst the complex beside the pyramids as the sandstorm came ever closer, the sound of the wind became unnerving as it began to sound like the whispers of the dead.
I took my horse inside one of the larger buildings in the complex and sat down beside it as the sandstorm continued to approach. After a short time the sandstorm had enveloped the area, the wind still sounded like the whispers of the dead as it whipped up the desert sands, the soft orange glow of light from the torches upon the wall filled the room as I waited for the sandstorm to pass.
Moments later a strange man had entered the room and began to speak, he muttered something about the curse of the Pharaoh's. He panicked as he began to search the room for an amulet that would protect him from the curse of the Pharaoh's, I did not believe in such thing's and tried to calm him down, beads of sweat dripping from his forehead as he searched frantically.
Then suddenly his eyes opened wide almost as if he had seen a ghost, I asked him what was wrong and then he pushed me away. Then I saw it, a shadow was approaching him as it began to transform, moments later the transformation was complete and there in front of us stood the spirit of the Pharaoh, it's eyes pitch black and it's skin decayed with loose bandages hanging from it's body and a black aura around it.
Then suddenly the spirit of the Pharaoh turned it's head slowly and looked at me with it's black soulless eyes and tilted it's head to one side a little. I froze as it reached out it's hand towards me but then suddenly it stopped, the strange man moved slowly away from the spirit of the Pharaoh as he tried to get away, suddenly the spirit of the Pharaoh turned it's head around and looked at him and then let out a disturbing and eerie groan.
The man tripped and fell onto the floor and the spirit of the Pharaoh reached out it's arm, it's hand reaching out towards the man as a black aura continued to swirl around it. The man begged for mercy and then screamed, the spirit of the Pharaoh grabbed the man by his neck and lifted him into the air with just one hand as whispers of the dead filled the room.
The man struggled to breathe as the spirit of the Pharaoh held him in the air and looked at him with it's black soulless eyes. Then suddenly the man's veins changed colour from blue to black as the spirit of the Pharaoh dangled him in the air and groaned eerily, I could do nothing but watch as the curse of the Pharaoh's took hold of the man, the spirit of the Pharaoh slowly drained the man's life force.
The man's body started to wither and decay in the spirit of the Pharaoh's grasp, then suddenly the spirit of the Pharaoh let go. The man's body was no more and his bones fell to the floor, the bones burst into dust as they landed on the floor and then the spirit of the Pharaoh turned around and stared at me with it's black soulless eyes once again, the sandstorm had almost passed as I moved backwards slowly towards my horse.
The spirit of the Pharaoh moved slowly towards me as I took my horse and moved slowly towards the exit, then suddenly I saw the hieroglyphics upon the wall beside me and realised I had entered a sacred building. It said anyone that dare enter the building would suffer the curse of the Pharaoh's, a moment later I stumbled and fell onto the floor, as I crawled across the floor I saw it.
I saw the amulet the man had been looking for and picked it up as the spirit of the Pharaoh moved ever closer towards me. The sandstorm had finally passed and my horse moved speedily outside as I held the amulet, then a moment later the spirit of the Pharaoh stood in front of me and leaned over me, it reached out it's hand towards me and I closed my eyes and turned my head.
Then suddenly everything had become silent and I opened my eyes, the spirit of the Pharaoh could not touch me, the amulet had protected me from the curse of the Pharaoh's. The spirit of the Pharaoh groaned eerily once more and then suddenly the bandages hanging from it's body moved as an eerie wind blew into the room, the spirit of the Pharaoh leaked closer and closer.
It's face right in front of mine, it's black soulless eyes staring into mine, then suddenly it let out a loud eerie scream as it began to fade away right in front of me. Moments later the spirit of the Pharaoh had vanished and I took a deep breath and sighed in relief, I quickly stood and ran outside then climbed upon my horse, I looked upon the building then rode away on my horse.
I didn't dare look back and continued to ride onwards towards the river as the sun began to set below the horizon.
