Earlier I used to think being an overthinker was a blessing.. Seriously!! Cuz we notice things that others don't. We read between the lines, remember the little details, and think so deeply about situations that sometimes we find our own answers without ever asking a question. And the scary part? Most of the time our assumptions end up coming true. So we start trusting our overthinking. We call it intuition!! But have u ever wondered what life would be like if u weren't an overthinker? Cuz overthinkers rarely live in the present. We live somewhere between yesterday and tomorrow. Half of us is stuck replaying every conversation we've ever had, wondering what we could have done differently. The other half is busy imagining a hundred futures that haven't even happened yet. We spend so much time surviving imaginary situations that we forget to live the real one. An overthinker's mind never rests. Even in the happiest moments, there's a voice asking "What if this doesn't last?" Even when someone loves us, we're already preparing ourselves for the day they might leave. And that's where the curse begins. Overthinking doesn't only steal our peace. It slowly steals the peace of the people who love u too. The person u want to protect from the world sometimes becomes the person you're unintentionally hurting the most. U want to love them better. You want to keep thm safe. U want to be thr home. But somehow u cannot protect them from the storm that's inside ur own mind. We question everything... Thr words, thr silence, thr actions, and sometimes even their love... Not bcz u don't care, but bcz u care too much. The fact is while trying to avoid losing someone, overthinking often becomes the very reason u lose them!! And u don't realize it while it's happening. U only understand it when they're gone. When the conversations stop. When the memories bcm heavier than ur thoughts. When u sit alone and wonder "What have I done?" U realize that not every silence meant abandonment. Not every delay meant distance. Not every change meant betrayal. Sometimes things were okay until ur mind convinced u they weren't. Being an overthinker is exhausting. It's waking up tired cuz ur mind never slept. It's carrying guilt for things that haven't happened yet. It's ruining beautiful moments by searching for hidden endings. It's loving someone with ur whole heart while accidentally hurting them with your fears. And perhaps that's the biggest curse of all having so much love to give, yet struggling to give it peacefully. And I wish I had learned that before I lost what I was trying so desperately to protect.
