Epic Legend
Odysseus and Athena sailed onwards across the sparkling sea as the sun shone bright above them , they sailed for a few hours until they had reached a small island to the southwest. They anchored their ship and walked ashore , "this place is so beautiful" said Athena as she looked around , a few trees were spread out across the meadow , an explosion of colours filled the meadow as the flower's bloomed and the gentle breeze blew through the lush green grass.
"Yes but not as beautiful as you Athena , my goddess" said Odysseus , Athena smiled at him and blushed a little as they walked across the beach and through the meadow as the birds began to sing their songs. "It is peaceful here" said Athena as she felt the warmth of the sunlight against her soft skin , Odysseus took a deep breath and breathed in the fresh cool air as he ran his fingers through his hair , the smell of flowers began to fill the air as the wind blew a little more.
Odysseus and Athena stood still and became silent as they heard a noise ahead of them , suddenly a glimmer of gold sparkled in front of them as a stag appeared before them , it's golden fur glimmered in the sunlight as it stood there and looked towards Odysseus and Athena. "This must be Artemis's golden stag" whispered Athena as she and Odysseus watched as the stag bit into an apple that had fallen from the tree beside it , Odysseus and Athena moved towards the golden stag very slowly and carefully to avoid spooking it.
Moments later Athena and Odysseus were just a few feet away from the magnificent golden stag , they watched the golden stag closely as it chewed on the remnants of the apple. It's innocent eyes sparkled in the light , moments later a woman appeared beside them silently , "I see you have discovered my golden stag" whispered Artemis , Athena and Odysseus turned around a little and greeted Artemis , "it is beautiful" whispered Athena.
"I've never seen a golden stag before" whispered Odysseus , Artemis smiled at them and then whispered , "there are only a handful of them left in the wilderness of this island". "I wonder what other animals we shall see here" whispered Athena as she and Odysseus continued to watch the golden stag , moments later Artemis had vanished as silently as she had appeared , "where did she go" whispered Odysseus , "she may have returned to Mount Olympus" whispered Athena.
Athena and Odysseus watched the golden stag for a little while as the glow of the sun filled the meadow , a short time later the golden stag suddenly ran away. "I wonder why the golden stag ran away" said Odysseus , seconds later a creature appeared in front of them , the creature stretched its wings and raked it's razor sharp talons against the ground , moments later the creature spotted Athena and Odysseus and screeched , Odysseus and Athena drew their swords and prepared themselves for battle.
