A short time later Salazar had arrived at Georgiou's restaurant to pick up Kate, "ok time to go, thanks for the free coffee Georgiou!" Said Kate. A few moments or so later Kate got into Salazar's car, "what's going on I wasn't expecting to see you so soon" said Salazar as he began to drive, "my husband came home a little....drunk, he smelled of rum" said Kate, "oh I see, anything else?" Asked Salazar.
"We argued a little and then he..." Said Kate, "What?" Asked Salazar, "he raised his hand, I thought he was going to hit me..." Said Kate. "He sounds like a nasty piece of work..." Said Salazar, "he was just a little drunk he wouldn't have hurt me....I think..." Said Kate, "well I'm not surprised you left him" said Salazar as he drove up the hill road towards his castle.
"I can't go back there again..." Said Kate, "it's ok, you can stay here with me at the castle for as long as you want " said Salazar, "thanks" said Kate as Salazar parked outside the castle. Several minutes later Salazar and Kate were inside the castle, "follow me I'll show you to your room" said Salazar, a few moments later Kate followed him up the stairs and into the east wing.
"Here we are, this will be your room" said Salazar as he opened a door, "it's beautiful!" Said Kate as she entered the room and looked around. The room was decorated with red and gold with a large bed, "where's your room?" Asked Kate, "it's just down there at the end of the hall" said Salazar, "alright good to know" said Kate, "well I have to do a few things so you get settled in and rest a little" said Salazar.
Moments later Salazar left Kate to unpack her belongings and rest, "this room is huge" said Kate as she began to store her belongings into the cupboards. Several minutes later she looked out of the window and saw the lighthouse by the coast and the beautiful scenery, "amazing view of the town from here, I'm going to like staying here!" Said Kate as the sun shone between the clouds.
Four days later....
"We bring you breaking news, a man was found dead today, his body was recovered from the sea" said the reporter on television as Kate watched. A moment later Salazar entered the room and then sat down, "what's going on?" Asked Salazar, "they found a body in the sea" said Kate, "the identity of the man has been confirmed, his name was, Oliver Meadow's" said the reporter as a picture appeared on screen.
"That's my husband!" Said Kate, "the cause of death appears to be drowning but police are continuing there investigation" said the reporter. "Well that's unsettling..." Said Salazar, "he must have gone to the beach for a walk again and somehow drowned..." Said Kate, "I'm sorry, thing's like this do happen in coastal towns like this, there's nothing you could have done" said Oliver as he held Kate in his arms.
Two days later...
The police had arrived at the castle and asked Kate some questions, "when was the last time you saw your husband?" Asked the inspector. "Nearly a week ago inspector" said Kate, "and where were you two day's ago?" Asked the inspector, "I was here with my friend, he's letting me stay here" said Kate as Salazar appeared, "yes that's right, I wanted to show her my castle and ground's " said Salazar.
"Oh it's you sir!" Said the inspector, "good to see you again inspector" said Salazar, "same to you, alright Mrs Meadow's I don't have anything else to ask" said the inspector. "Do you know my husband....died?" Asked Kate, "well it's all simple, he smelled of alcohol and his body was found in the water near the pier so it looks like he just fell off the pier and then drowned" said the inspector.
"I see, thank you inspector " said Kate, moments later the inspector left and Salazar took Kate back inside the castle and into the living room. "Oliver and his alcohol..." Said Kate before sighing a little, "I'm sorry" said Salazar as he held Kate in his arm's.
