Salazar and Kate walked through the snow a little faster and after a few minutes they had finally reached the source of the light. "A forest ranger's cabin, quick let's get inside!" Said Salazar, several moments later they went inside the forest ranger's cabin and closed the door, "the ranger doesn't seem to be around.." said Kate as she looked around whilst Salazar sat down.
"We can't stay here for long or we'll be stuck here" said Salazar, "look!, there's a map on the wall" said Kate, a moment later Salazar stood up and walked towards Kate. "Hmm let me see, we're here in the forest ranger's cabin and my cabin is right...over..here" said Salazar as he traced his fingertip across the map, "hmm your cabin isn't far from here" said Kate.
"If we leave now we can make it there before the weather gets any worse.." said Salazar, "ok let's go!" Said Kate, several moments later Salazar and Kate left the forest ranger's cabin and travelled west. They walked on and on through the raging blizzard and then it happend....the blizzard had turned into a whiteout, "stay close to me I can't see a thing" said Salazar as he held Kate's hand.
Salazar and Kate were now effectively blind by the whiteout all around them, "my cabin must be close by now!" Said Salazar. A few minutes later Salazar walked into something hard, "ow my shoulder!" Said Salazar, "what is it?" Asked Kate, "I walked into something, give me a moment.." said Salazar as he moved his hand across what felt like a wooden wall.
Several moments later he felt something metallic and pushed it down, Salazar had opened a door and then he went through it with Kate. Seconds later Salazar closed the door as Kate rubbed her eyes, "it's your cabin!" Said Kate with relief as Salazar lit the fireplace, moments later Salazar and Kate were sitting in front of the fire warming themselves up.
"I thought we were going to get lost out there.." said Kate, "I've been up here in the forest many times, it'll take more than bad weather for me to get lost" said Salazar. Meanwhile outside, the weather hadn't improved as the whiteout enveloped everything, "it looks like we'll be here for a while" said Salazar, "how long?" Asked Kate, "I don't know it could either be a few hours or a few days..." Said Salazar.
"A few days!?, my husband will get suspicious if I'm not back home by Monday.." said Kate, "we'll just have to hope the whiteout fades soon.." said Salazar. Time began to pass as minutes became hour's and the whiteout remained, several hours had passed by and Salazar and Kate were sitting in the kitchen area talking, "it seems the whiteout will be sticking around for a while.." said Kate.
"Yes, hopefully my car isn't snowed in...." said Salazar, one hour later Salazar and Kate were in the bedroom laying side by side on the bed kissing each other deeply as frost covered the window's. Salazar lifted the bed sheet's over them as Kate held him a little closer, a short time later moans and groans echoed around the room as Salazar and Kate's bodies became entwined, their bodies becoming warmer as they pleasured each other.
The next day, Sunday 16:00pm...
Kate looked out through a window and sighed a little, "the whiteout is still there, I can't see anything else out there..." Said Kate. "Don't worry I'm sure it will be gone soon..." Said Salazar as he read a little of his book, "what book are you reading?" Asked Kate, "it's called Dracula" said Salazar, "oh I've read that about a month ago!" Said Kate, "I've read it many times but I prefer the movie's " said Salazar as Kate sat next to him.
The weather outside was eerily silent and then suddenly the wind began to howl, the blizzard had returned and snow fell thick and fast once again.
The next day, Monday 9:29am...
Salazar opened the bedroom curtains and then looked through the window, "it's gone, the whiteout is gone it's clear now" said Salazar. "Let's get going before the weather gets worse!" Said Kate, ten minutes later Salazar and Kate packed their belongings away and then went outside to the car, Kate put their bags on the back seat of the car as Salazar scraped the ice off the window and snow off the bonnet.
Salazar asked Kate to start the car to get it warmed up whilst he locked the cabin door, a few minutes later Salazar got in his car and then closed the door. "Ok move over please so we can get back into town" said Salazar, Kate moved into the passenger seat and strapped herself in as Salazar reversed and turned the car around, "we'll be back in town in no time hopefully" said Salazar.
"Oh great.....I can't wait...." Kate thought to herself not liking the thought of returning home to her husband, Salazar drove across the bridge and then suddenly he stopped the car. "Ugh a traffic jam, the weather must've caused a problem" said Salazar, "oh we'll be stuck here for a while then?" Asked Kate, "I know a shortcut into town" said Salazar as he turned the car around and drove down an off-road path.
"I don't normally take this shortcut unless I have to, it's a little bumpy" said Salazar as he continued to drive across the snow. Fifteen minutes later Salazar and Kate had finally arrived in town, "can you drop me off just over there outside the botanical gardens please" said Kate, a few moments later Salazar pulled the car over outside the botanical gardens and handed mate her bag.
"Thank you, and thanks for inviting me to your cabin for the weekend!" Said Kate, "sorry about the weather, I was hoping to explore the forest with you " said Salazar. "It's ok you can't control the weather " said Kate and then she laughed a little, "haha, ok see you soon I have to get back home and sort some things out, goodbye Kate" said Salazar, Kate said goodbye and then walked away down the street towards home.
Ten minutes later...
Kate had finally returned home to find the house silent, "ah good Oliver isn't here, some peace and quiet" thought Kate as she put her bag down in the hall. Moments later she sat down and relaxed for a few minutes until the door opened, Oliver had come home from the bar smelling of alcohol a little, "ah there you are, where have you been?" Asked Oliver, "I got stuck in traffic on the way home.." said Kate as she stood up.
"Yeah I saw, it's freezing outside..." Said Oliver, "what's that smell?" Said Kate, "what smell?" Said Oliver, "it smells like rum.." said Kate. "Oh right...yeah I was with a friend at the bar" said Oliver, "this early in the morning!" Said Kate, "ugh don't start..." Said Oliver, "maybe if you spent more time at home with me than with your silly friends..." Said Kate, "don't insult my friends..." Said Oliver.
"Or what??" Said Kate, Oliver moved and stood just centimetres away from Kate and looked into her eyes, "insult my friends again and you will regret it...." Said Oliver. "Who was it this time?, Jeff or that dopey little guy Adam??" Asked Kate, then suddenly Oliver raised his hand, Kate shielded herself with her arms then suddenly Oliver's hand froze still and then he said "consider that a warning...." Said Oliver as he lowered his hand.
A moment later Kate slapped Oliver hard and the shouted, "GET OUT!, NOW!", "I'm not going anywhere!" Said Oliver as he sat down. "Fine, I'm leaving...." Said Kate as she went into the bedroom, Kate started packing her belongings away into a suitcase and then a short time later she left the house, Kate dragged her suitcase through the streets and headed towards Georgia's restaurant.
Eventually she arrived there and went inside, "ah it is you, welcome, welcome!" Said Georgiou, "can I stay and get warm for a little while?" Asked Kate. "Of course miss, I'll bring you some coffee, no need to pay" said Georgiou, a few minutes later Georgiou returned with a cup of coffee and placed it on the table as Kate took out her phone, she called Salazar but there was no answer.
"Hmm he always answers my calls, I hope he's alright.." thought Kate as she picked up the coffee, a few minutes later her phone beeped. Kate read the message Salazar had sent her, it said "sorry I was with my sister Lily so I couldn't answer, call me back when you see this", a moment later Kate called Salazar and he answered, "hey what's up?" Asked Salazar, "I've left him..." Said Kate.
"Oh I'm sorry, do you need me to come and pick you up?" Asked Salazar, "yes please, I don't have anywhere else to go....I'm at Georgiou's restaurant" Said Kate. "Ok I'm on my way, I'll be there as soon as I can!" Said Salazar.
