January 4th...
It had been a little over two months since Salazar and Kate's first encounter, they had continued to meet in secret a few times a week which had steadily increased over the winter holidays. They now spent five days a week together and Kate's husband was still clueless about their affair, Kate was alone at home when her phone started to ring, "hello" said Kate, "it's me, I have a cabin at the forest, I was thinking we could go there for the weekend" said Salazar.
"I would like that but..." Said Kate, "what is it?" Asked Salazar, "I would have to think of an excuse to get away" said Kate. "I'm sure you can find one, the cabin is north from here I'll message you the details" said Salazar, a few moments later he sent the details of where the cabin was located, "I know this place, I used to go there a long time ago before i met my husband" said Kate.
"Well I'll be there on Friday evening until Monday morning, I hope I'll see you there..." Said Salazar, "I hope so, sorry I have to go now, my husband is here, see you soon!" said Kate. A second later Kate turned off her phone just before Oliver entered the room, "what you up to?" Asked Oliver, "not much just watching television" said Kate, "hmm what is that movie?" Asked Oliver.
"Titanic.." said Kate, "I never liked that movie, to long and boring..." Said Oliver, "oh that reminds me, I'm going away for the weekend" said Kate. "Oh really?, where to?" Asked Oliver, "I was thinking either a spa retreat or visiting an old friend" said Kate, "ok, when exactly?" Asked Oliver, "probably Friday afternoon until Monday morning sometime" said Kate.
"Fine I'll be here or at the bar with some friends..." Said Oliver as he grabbed a bottle of Foster's out of the fridge and opened it. "It's a little early for alcohol isn't it?" Said Kate, "and?, I drink when I want to, I just happened to be in the mood for a beer.." said Oliver as he sat down in his chair, Kate sighed and continued to watch the movie, "you could sit next to me.." said Kate.
"Nah I'm good sitting here it's better..." Said Oliver, Kate shook her head a little as she felt unwanted as usual, "sometimes I wonder why I even married him..." Thought Kate. Oliver continued to drink his beer as he scratched his head a little, a short time later he had fallen asleep and began to snore, Kate sighed and turned up the television volume a little higher and kept watching the movie.
A few days later, Friday 14:00pm...
Kate took a ride in a taxi as it headed towards the forest inn the north, the traffic was busy but the taxi driver knew his way around and took a shortcut. "Don't worry miss we'll be there soon" said the taxi driver, the car went over a bridge and across the river as the driver drove onwards towards the forest, twenty-five minutes later the taxi had finally stopped to where Kate wanted to go.
She paid the driver and then got out of the taxi and walked into the forest, Kate followed the directions that Salazar had sent her and after a few minutes or so she found herself standing in front of a cabin. "Ah finally, I wonder if Salazar is here yet" thought Kate as she walked up to the cabin, a few moments later she opened the door and went inside the cabin and saw a glass half full with cola.
"He's here somewhere" thought Kate as she put her bag down beside the sofa and then sat down, after a few minutes Salazar entered the cabin and saw Kate sitting there waiting for him. "Kate!, you're early, I was just outside cutting some wood" said Salazar as he placed some wood beside the fireplace, "I heard some bad weather is coming" said Kate as the clouds outside began to grow a little darker.
"Yes I'm expecting heavy snowfall sometime over the next few hours" said Salazar as he sat down beside her, "ok what's the plan?" Asked Kate. "I thought maybe a walk before the snow arrives and then something to eat when we return" said Salazar, "sounds like a good plan!" Said Kate, a few minutes later Salazar and Kate were outside walking around the forest as the clouds became a little darker.
"So how've you been doing since we last met?" Asked Salazar, "I've been doing ok, kept myself busy" said Kate, "and what about everything else?" Asked Salazar. "My husband is still the same as usual, careless and inconsiderate..." Said Kate as snow began to fall slowly, Salazar and Kate continued to talk as the snow began to fall a little faster, "we should get back to the cabin, the snow is getting worse earlier than expected" said Salazar.
A few moments later Salazar and Kate turned around and headed back to the cabin, they walked a little faster and continued talking on the way. "How was your morning?" Asked Salazar, "it was quiet, Oliver went out to see his friend's again so he's probably drinking and watching the wrestling" said Kate, "oh wrestling?, I like that too, I don't have much time to watch it sometimes" said Salazar as the walked a little faster.
"You mean staring at the women in their small outfits.." said Kate, Salazar began to blush a little and said, "no not at all...well maybe a little". A moment later Kate laughed as Salazar looked at the snow, "we should move faster, the snow is falling thicker and faster!" Said Salazar, several minutes later Salazar and Kate had finally returned to the cabin and went inside just in time.
Salazar walked into the kitchen area and then made some tea as Kate started to light the fireplace, several moments later the fireplace was ready. A soft orange glow filled the room as Salazar walked towards Kate and handed her a cup of tea, a moment later they sat down on the sofa in front of the fire and began to talk, "I missed this...." Said Kate, "what?" Asked Salazar.
"I missed being with you, the last few days I've been a little...lonely..." Said Kate before taking a sip of her tea, "you don't have to answer this but...why or when did your husband stop touching you and showing affection?" Asked Salazar, "I can't remember, one day he just stopped like he didn't even care anymore..." Said Kate, "maybe he was having an affair or something" said Salazar.
"That's what I thought at first but no, I don't know what happened, I guess he just doesn't want me anymore...." Said Kate. "Then he's an idiot.." said Salazar, "or maybe he just doesn't find me attractive anymore, I'm not as good looking as I was when I was younger.." said Kate, "don't say that!, of course you are attractive, you are pretty and sexy" said Salazar.
"Really?, you mean that?" Asked Kate, "yes of course" said Salazar before finishing his tea, several moments later Kate placed the cup of tea on the table and then kissed Salazar. They held each other closely and kissed deeply as Salazar lay her down on the sofa and squeezed her thigh a little, the fire roared as the snow outside fell thicker and faster blanketing the ground.
