As Sam and Vanessa sat there comfortably on the sofa the alarm went off, "RED ALERT, INTRUDER DETECTED IN THE POWER ROOM" said the computer. "What the hell!?" Said Sam, "an intruder but how?" Said Vanessa, "I don't know...let's get to the power room quickly" said Sam, Vanessa and Sam ran through the corridors as fast as they could towards the power room.
A few minutes later they had arrived outside the power room to find Hex and Will standing there, "What's the situation?" Asked Sam. "The intruder is still inside" said Hex, Will drew his gun and rushed into the power room, "no don't go in.." said Vanessa but it was to late, a few seconds after rushing into the power room Will was thrown against the wall, "what the hell did that!?" Said Sam.
Sam, Vanessa and Hex drew their guns and dragged Will out of the power room, "is he alright?" Asked Vanessa as Hex checked for a pulse. "I'm sorry he's dead.." said Hex, "ugh damn, first Amadeus and now Will" said Sam as something came towards him, Vanessa and Hex, a few moments later a man stood in front of them and revealed himself, "it can't be!?" Said Vanessa.
"He's dead, how can be here!?" Said Hex, in front of them stood Amadeus their dead friend and colleague, "get back now!" Said Sam. Vanessa, Hex and Sam slowly backed away. Amadeus clothes and body were completely soaking wet, his eyes glowed bright green as black aura surrounded him, "that's not Amadeus anymore, something found his body and possessed it" said Sam.
The possessed body of Amadeus moved slowly towards them, "I'll take it down!" Said Hex as she stepped in front of Sam and Vanessa. "No don't!" Said Sam, just as Hex was about to open fire, the possessed body of Amadeus attacked her, Amadeus placed his wet hand on Hex's face then suddenly her veins began to turn black, "what's it doing to her?" Said Vanessa.
"I don't know, either killing her or infecting her" said Sam, Hex's screams filled the corridors as Amadeus continued to attack. Moments later it stopped and Hex slowly turned around, her eyes glowing bright green just like Amadeus, then suddenly Will's body moved and his eyes glowed bright green as he stood up, "oh no Will is infected as well!" Said Vanessa.
Sam and Vanessa moved backwards a little faster as they wondered what to do, "what do we do?" Said Vanessa as the possessed and infected bodies of Amadeus, Hex and Will walked slowly towards them. "OPEN FIRE!!" shouted Sam, a second later Sam and Vanessa opened fire on them, the photon bullet's they fired flew through the air towards Amadeus, Hex and Will.
Without a few seconds the photon bullet's hit them, Amadeus, Hex and Will unleashed a disturbing otherworldly scream as the photon bullet's hit them. Their bodies began to glow bright white as Sam and Vanessa fired more photon bullet's at them, then moments later Amadeus, Hex and Will's bodies began to disintegrate right in front of them, a moment later their bodies burst into nothingness.
"They're gone" said Sam then he sighed in relief, a few moments later Sam and Vanessa put their guns away and then sat on the floor and leaned against a wall. "What happened to them?" Asked Vanessa, "I don't know but they're gone now and they're never coming back" said Sam, "hmm how did Amadeus even get into the base?" Said Vanessa, "hmm, computer where was the alarm detected?" Asked Sam.
"The intrusion was detected in the games room" said the computer, a few minutes later Sam and Vanessa headed towards the game's room. After they arrived there they drew their guns and opened the door, after they opened the door the looked around the room, "look over there!" Said Vanessa, Sam looked to where she was pointing and saw a fracture in one of the walls.
"How the hell did Amadeus fit through that fracture, it's far to small!?" Said Sam as he reached for his laser repair tool, a few moments later Sam had repaired the fracture. "There as good as new" said Sam as he put his laser repair tool away, "computer display holographic image of security footage in the game's room and play" said Vanessa, a few seconds later a holographic screen appeared in front of them and played the footage.
"So that's how he got inside the base" said Sam, "he used some kind of energy to fracture the wall then morphed himself into a liquid and slipped in through the fracture" said Vanessa. "Hmm but why didn't any seawater get inside?" Said Sam, "I don't know, let's just be happy it didn't" said Vanessa, "let's get out of here" said Sam, Vanessa and Sam left the game's room and headed towards the control room.
After they reached the control room Sam activated the bases security system, "security system activated" said the computer, "there nice and safe now" said Sam. "It's just us now..." Said Vanessa forgetting about Doctor Piper, Sam placed his hand on her shoulder and reassured her that everything would be alright and smiled at her also forgetting about the Doctor, "one thing, what is our mission here?" Asked Vanessa.
"It's classified..." Said Sam, "our friends and colleagues are dead...I have to know.." said Vanessa, "hmm ok but do not tell anyone about this ok?" Said Sam. "You have my word" said Vanessa, "our mission is to extract an extremely rare substance that was discovered by a team of explorers" said Sam, "hmm ok go on" said Vanessa, "when me and the crew arrived here we discovered that our tools were ineffective at extracting the substance" said Sam.
"Hmm tell me more" said Vanessa, "however the substance emitted some kind of green spark and it shocked Amadeus" said Sam. "That must be what caused all of this!, we must abandon the mission it's to dangerous" said Vanessa, "don't worry I sent a message to the people in charge on the surface when I activated the security system" said Sam, "good, so are we leaving in the mini sub?" Asked Vanessa.
"No we can't it's damaged and we don't have the parts to repair it so we will be here until the people in charge on the surface can send help" said Sam. "How long will that take?" Asked Vanessa, "I don't know, a few days, weeks maybe longer, they're swamped with other things" said Sam, "I guess we'll have to wait then" said Vanessa as she and Sam left the control room and headed to their sleeping quarters to get some sleep.
Sam and Vanessa said goodnight to each other and then entered their rooms and went to sleep.
