Tag that Jessi...!!

Despite Jessie’s repeated rejections, Karthik refuses to give up. He interprets her mixed signals as hidden affection.

His determination stems from the belief that their emotional connection transcends societal and religious divisions.
Ultimately, Karthik’s feelings evolve from obsession to heartbreak. Even though Jessie later admits to loving him, her inner conflict and family obligations prevent their relationship from stabilizing.
He let her go because of her well being.

So at the end she didn't have a stable mindset :timid:
The Problem is His Interpretation, Not Her Mixed Signals. The core issue is that Karthik's fixation leads him to see what he wants to see. A healthy relationship requires clear communication, but Karthik's narrative refuses to accept her clear rejections. What he calls mixed signals is Jessie's repeated hesitation and attempts to create distance, which a less-obsessed person would have recognized and respected.

Her signals aren't mixed, they're conflicted. Jessie is pulled between her genuine feelings for Karthik and her family's firm religious and cultural expectations. Her so called mixed behavior is not a game, it s the external manifestation of a deep internal conflict.

For Karthik to frame her internal struggle as a playful hidden affection is a convenient way to ignore her pain and their very real obstacles.

Yena achi,, oh thokam pola, ok Good night. It's just my opinion and @JackDani I've enjoyed exploring the complexities of Karthik and Jessie. Perhaps the story's beauty is in its ambiguity. Instead of a single correct answer, it leaves us debating love versus obsession, and a woman's dilemma versus a man's heartbreak. It's a reminder that not all endings are clean, and not all relationships fit neatly into a single box.

Yeah good one. But love without obsession doesn't exist.
Healthy obsession becomes unhealthy when admiration transforms into control or anxiety. The moment one’s happiness depends entirely on the partner’s attention, it risks descending into emotional dependence or limerence, a state of intrusive, consuming love fantasy.
There isn't any such incident that it transformed into unhealthy admiration in the movie.

Obviously yes, male and female have different opinion about what love truly is and neither of them are wrong. ;)
