"CRASH!!"...more debris fell as the inferno engulfed Lance's home , Lance moved through the black smoke and raging flames as he desperately tried to find a way out. Then suddenly part of the roof caved in , wooden beams crashed around him as they burned , "there must be a way out..."thought Lance as he looked around for an escape , a few moments later he saw the bathroom still untouched by the inferno and began to head towards it.
Meanwhile outside...
Melody and a crowd of people stood and watched from a safe distance as the fire burned throughout the house , then.."SMASH!!".. another window shattered into pieces. "I must get inside!" Melody thought , a moment later she ran towards Lance's burning house , "you can't go in there" said a policeman as he blocked her path , "my boyfriend is in there!!" Said Melody.
"I'm sorry but you can't go in it's not safe!" Said the policeman as he held her back , the other policemen kept the crowd in order as they secured the area. "There must be something I can do..." Melody thought as she moved back and watched the house burn , several moments later the firemen had finally arrived and started to get to work , as the firemen did their job the fire spread towards the kitchen.
Meanwhile back inside the house...
Lance moved swiftly towards the bathroom before the inferno could reach it , just as he was about to reach the bathroom the ceiling collapsed. "Damn!!.." thought Lance as debris partially blocked the bathroom door , Lance had no choice but to try and get into the bathroom as the inferno behind him blocked his path , a few moments later Lance leapt through the flames and past the debris and made it into the bathroom.
Lance now covered in dust and smoke he tried to open the bathroom window to escape , then suddenly he realised something. "Oh no...if the fire reaches the kitchen the house will explode...I must get out now" he thought , as he tried to open the bathroom window the inferno spread around the kitchen , the fire moved ever closer towards the gas oven as Lance struggled to open the bathroom window.
Then suddenly "KABOOOOOOM!!" , an explosion ripped through the house shattering the remaining window's , "NO!!" shouted Melody as she watched from outside. Moments later the jewellery box Lance had went inside to get flew out of the window and landed beside Melody , she picked it up carefully as it was a little singed and warm from the fire then continued to watch as the house collapsed more.
Meanwhile back inside the house Lance lay there unconscious as the inferno and smoke filled the bathroom , a few moments later lance regained consciousness. "I'm alive...ugh" groaned Lance as he slowly stood up , he slowly turned and saw the fire all around him blocking his escape , "my sister's jewellery box! , where is it!" Said Lance as he panicked , he rushed towards the shattered window and looked outside.
He saw Melody holding it in her hands and breathed a sigh of relief , he smiled a little and then heard a sound behind him then slowly turned around. "Oh...no..." Said Lance with a look of dread on his face as he saw a burst of flames heading straight towards him , "I...love...you Melody..." Said Lance in despair , moments later the burst of flames hit him and set his clothes alight.
Time passed and the flames had finally been extinguished , the house nothing more than a pile of debris and rubble as black smoke continued to fill the air. "Lance...." Said Melody quietly as the crowd left the area , moments later Inspector Black had arrived and rushed towards Melody , "are you alright" asked the Inspector , "Lance my... boyfriend was... inside.." said Melody as a single tear dripped down her cheek.
"I am sorry Melody" said the Inspector as he placed his hand on her shoulder , Melody stared at the jewellery box in her hands and said "I shall look after this for you Lance...".
A few days later in Nightingale Village...
Melody and Inspector Black sat outside on a bench in her garden and talked , "it looks like the fire was deliberate" said the Inspector. "What!?" Said Melody , "I am sorry I had to tell you" said the Inspector , "who did this!" Melody asked , "we did find a ring amongst the debris" said Inspector Black , "let me see it" said Melody , Inspector Black took the ring out of his pocket and showed it to her.
Melody became silent as she looked at the ring , "do you recognise it?" Asked the Inspector , then suddenly Melody became enraged. "Those....evil bastard's!! , I shall kill them all" shouted Melody , "what's wrong?" Said the Inspector , "I know who set the fire..and I shall have my revenge!" Said Melody , "who did it?" Asked Inspector Black , "the Order of Romanus!! , they must have known about me and Lance" said Melody as she handed the ring back to the Inspector.
"I see , it has been a while since I last heard about them" said the Inspector , "I would like to be alone now please inspector" said Melody. Several moments later Inspector Black left the garden and headed back to the police station as Melody snapped , seconds later Melody attacked her garden in a blind rage and broke some plant pots , "I will hunt them down and eradicate the Order of Romanus once and for all!!" Said Melody as she walked into her house.
