If you are just here to enjoy forum - Go with the flow, post good content (you won't get much likes at start), react to threads of your interest, you'll earn points but slowly.

If you just want to score points for badge - Post more and get more reactions, reply to each and every thread to increase your msg count.:)

Point are indeed slow. But it will give you the opportunity to know people better. I am getting a lot of satisfaction because I am getting acknowledged by people
