All the users present here, perhaps everyone knows the name of Alauddin Khilji and knows about him. He was infamous for his cruelty, obsession with women, and for Padmavati, etc. However, he also did good things during his reign, one of which was the market system. He established very good systems in the market and is known for that. He also built many things, about which perhaps we do not need to know.
Alauddin Khilji's daughter's name was Firoza, and it is written in stories that she was extremely beautiful. So once, Raja Kanhad Dev of Jalore, Rajasthan, and his prince Viramdev were present in Alauddin Khilji's court. It is said that Viramdev was very handsome, and his body was completely hairless, totally clean. He became famous for his quick wit in Alauddin's court when Alauddin once asked him...
"Where had you gone when hair was being distributed? You don't have a single hair on your body."
When Alauddin asked Viramdev this, the other courtiers started laughing. Then Viramdev replied that...
"When hair was being distributed, I went to the shop of wisdom twice, and when I went to the shop of hair, I came to know that you had gone there twice, which is why I didn't get any hair."
Alauddin felt a little bad after getting an instant reply, but he smiled and brushed off the matter.
The stories of his quick wit spread among the slaves and maids, and this news reached Princess Firoza that Prince Viramdev is handsome, quick-witted, and today he even gave a quick reply to Alauddin. So, Firoza started developing feelings for him...
Then one day, Firoza was standing on top of her fort and saw Viramdev. Firoza fell in love at first sight. Firoza told Alauddin that she wanted to marry Viramdev, but Alauddin did not agree. He said that
"He is an infidel, he is not of our religion," and thus he refused.
Firoza's mother had died when she was young, so Firoza said that
"If my mother were alive, she would listen to me, but there is no one to listen to me."
On this emotional blackmail by Firoza, Alauddin agreed. He proposed marriage to Viramdev and his father Kanhad Dev, but neither Viramdev nor Kanhad Dev wanted this relationship. Since they were in Alauddin's palace, if they refused, Alauddin would kill them right there. That's why they made an excuse that
"We don't even have wealth, and our fort is also broken. We need some time; we also have to repair the fort."
By saying this, they tried to refuse the relationship, but Alauddin gave them wealth and said to repair the fort, and when the work is complete, let us know.
Now both of them went there and came to Jalore, got the fort repaired, and then wrote a letter to Alauddin saying,
"We do not want this relationship."
While breaking this relationship, Viramdev spoke some words, which are as follows...
"MAMA LAAJE BHATIYA, KUL LAAJE CHAUHAN
JE ME PARNI TURKANI , PASHCHIM UGE BHAAN"
( sorry for writing these in Hindi but these are same words we are being taught so I can't change this)
This means that if I marry a Mughal girl, it will be an act that will bring shame not only to my Chauhan dynasty but also to my maternal uncle's dynasty, the Bhatiya's. And if my marriage with Firoza happens, the sun will rise from the West instead of the East... The direct meaning is that Viramdev does not want to marry her.
After Alauddin received such a letter, Alauddin attacked Jalore, and a war took place in which Viramdev was killed. His severed head fell to the side, and the body was separate.
Flashback story :- It is said that when Viramdev refused the proposal, Firoza herself came to Jalore to talk to Viramdev, but Viramdev did not want to talk to her even once. Forget talking, he didn't even look at her face. She stayed in Jalore for many days and then went back.
When Alauddin's army was going to war, Firoza had told the commander that...
"If possible, bring Viramdev alive before me."
But Viramdev was dead. The commander found his severed head and took it to Firoza and presented his head before her.
It is said that when Firoza would turn Viramdev's severed head towards herself to see his face, Viramdev's face would turn in the other direction. Then Firoza says at this point that...
"Firoza ended her life by saying that she was committing Sati with him 'as Viramdev's beloved and a Hindu married woman (Suhaagin)'.
Saying this, she took Viramdev's severed head in her lap and adopted the guise of a Hindu married woman.
After that, she committed Sati on Viramdev's pyre."
This was the love, loyalty, one-sided love with the strong intention that "if I can't be yours then I won't be anyone else."
True love by Firoza.
