The storm continued to rage on as Talia stood there in silence, Altair kept his finger firmly on the trigger as Death waited for him to make his move. "You do not have to do this..." Said Talia as she walked towards Altair, "I must make Kassandra suffer for what she has done..." Said Altair, "please give me the crossbow" said Talia as she tried to reason with him.
Death stood in silence as he watched the sands of time trickling through the hourglass as time began to run out, Talia placed her hand on the crossbow and looked Altair in the eye. Then after a moment of silence Altair pulled the trigger, an arrow penetrated Talia's chest and impaled her heart, Talia fell to her knees as Death continued to watch his hourglass and Altair stood there silently.
Talia's body slowly began to disintegrate as Altair turned around and walked away into the storm and the darkness, "will..I..see him.. again?" Said Talia. "There is nothing beyond death..." Said Death as he walked towards her, "I...love you Daniel.." said Talia as the rain splashed against her face, "the sands of time have run out, your time has come..." said Death as he put his hourglass away.
A few moments later Talia's body had disintegrated into a pile of ashes and Death's work was done or so he thought, as Altair made his way through the woods he tripped and fell. Altair fell down onto a sharp pointed piece of wood and it impaled his heart, Death appeared and watched as Altair's body disintegrated and then became a nothing but a pile of ashes, "My work is done.." said Death in a emotionless and cold tone of voice.
Later that night in Lilyveil Hollow...
Talia and Daniel's daughter's Rose and Kassandra were at home sitting on the sofa remembering old times when Death appeared in the room. "Death, what are you doing here?" Asked Rose, "what is going on?" Said Kassandra, "I bring news of your mother and father" said Death as he stared through the window as the storm approached Lilyveil Hollow, "are they alright?" Asked Kassandra.
"Your mother and father are dead, they were killed by Altair" said Death, "what!?" Said Rose, "why did he do it!" Said Kassandra. "He killed them for revenge, he wanted you to suffer for what you had done Kassandra.." said Death, "where is Altair I shall kill him!" Said Kassandra, "you are to late...Altair is dead.." said Death, Rose and Kassandra became silent for several minutes.
"I must go.." said Death, Rose and Kassandra said goodbye and a moment later Death vanished back to his domain, a few minutes later the storm had arrived in Lilyveil Hollow. "What do we do now..." Said Kassandra, "I do not know sister..." Said Rose as the rain fell hard and the thunder boomed and lightning flashed, Rose and Kassandra sat there in silence and thought to themselves.
The next day 22: 49 pm...
The new moon glowed bright in the night sky as the storm continued to hammer Lilyveil Hollow, "I have an idea!" Said Rose as she opened an old trunk and searched through it. "What are you doing sister?" Asked Kassandra, "it is in here somewhere..." Said Rose, "what are you looking for?" Said Kassandra, "ah here it is!" Said Rose as she took something out of the trunk.
"A book.." said Kassandra, "not just any book, it is the book of the dead.." said Rose, a moment later Rose sat down beside Kassandra looked at the book. The book was black coloured and engraved with strange symbols on the front cover, "where did you get that book?" Asked Kassandra, "I found it five year's ago.." said Rose, "found it where?" Asked Kassandra.
"That is not important.." said Rose, a moment later she opened the book and a mysterious wind blew around them for a moment and then vanished. "Are you sure you should be reading it?" Said Kassandra, "I know what I am doing sister..." Said Rose as she looked through the book of the dead, "ah here it is!" Said Rose as she stopped at the page she needed, "I have a bad feeling about this.." said Kassandra.
"No harm ever came from reading a book" said Rose, Kassandra became silent as the thunder rumbled loudly and the lightning flashed brighter. "Kassandra go and find something that mother and father left here from their last visit" said Rose, Kassandra left the room and went upstairs to the spare bedroom, then several minutes later Kassandra came back into the room with a necklace and a ring.
"Here, mother's necklace and father's ring" said Kassandra, "good work sister" said Rose as Kassandra placed the necklace and ring onto Rose's lap. "Now we can begin..." Said Rose as she looked at Kassandra.
