As Daniel kneeled on the ground trapped in the mummy's stream of black smoke, Talia leapt through the air towards the mummy. A moment later the mummy unleashed another stream of black smoke towards her, the stream of black smoke hit Talia and then enveloped her, Talia fell to her knees as the mummy let out another eerie groan, "ugh I cannot move.." said Talia.
Talia and Daniel were trapped in the black smoke with no escape as the mummy slowly moved closer and closer towards them. Talia and Daniel were still able to move their arms a little and reached out to one another, "take my hand my love" said Talia, Daniel stretched out his arm and then held Talia's hand as the mummy moved ever closer towards them, a few moments later something began to happen.
Talia and Daniel's red eyes glowed, Daniel had transformed back into his original form as a red light began to appear around him and Talia. Several moments later Talia and Daniel transformed themselves into a red coloured mist, a few seconds later the mummy stopped it's attack and stared at the red mist in confusion, the red mist moved towards the mummy and then enveloped it.
Talia and Daniel in their mist form attacked the mummy, their attack had no effect on the mummy and they decided to try something else. Talia and Daniel transformed back into their original human form and then grabbed the mummy and lifted it into the air, the mummy let out an eerie groan and then Talia and Daniel threw it in the river, the mummy crashed into the river and began to sink as Talia and Daniel watched.
"Maybe that will stop it.." said Daniel, "I hope so.." said Talia, after several watching the river there was no sign of the mummy. The eclipse had ended and the sun shone bright once again, "how will we get back to the hotel, the Captain sailed away with his boat" said Talia, "hmm, look there's a man with some camel's, maybe he will take us" said Daniel, a few moments later Talia and Daniel asked the man if they would help them, "I shall help you, climb on" said the man.
Talia and Daniel climbed up onto the camel's backs and a few moments later they rode towards the city, they rode for hours across the desert and past an oasis as they travelled onwards to the city. Eventually Talia and Daniel had finally arrived at the city and were back in their hotel room, Daniel stood on the balcony and stared at the sky as the sun began to set.
"What is wrong my love?" Asked Talia, "the mummy, it was to easily defeated.." said Daniel, "do not worry my love, I am sure we are safe" said Talia as she stood beside him and held him close. They stood there on the balcony and watched the people below as the streets grew busy and the orange glow of the sunset soaked the city, "we shall be home again soon" said Talia, "I cannot wait to get back home to the cooler weather" said Daniel as he wrapped his arm around her.
Five days later...
Talia and Daniel had arrived back to their home in Trinity Hale after their holiday in Egypt and were resting in the living room. They sat on the sofa and read through the newspaper together unaware that death had followed them home, dark clouds began to gather in the sky...a storm was coming to Trinity Hale.
The next day...
The sky was filled with dark ominous looking cloud's and the rain was hammering down as thunder rumbled and lightning flashed. "This is the worst storm in year's" said Daniel as he looked out of the window, "it does not look like the storm will be moving away anytime soon" said Talia as she stood beside him and looked through the window, "what was..." Said Daniel.
"What was what my love?" Said Talia, "I thought I saw something out there.." said Daniel, "maybe it was just a trick of the light" said Talia, "Hmm" said Daniel unconvinced. Over the next few days the storm continued and didn't show any signs of stopping anytime soon, Talia and Daniel were walking through the streets on their daily evening walk as the thunder rumbled loudly amongst the clouds.
A shadow appeared and followed Talia and Daniel through the streets as lightning struck the church nearby, a few moments later Daniel suddenly stopped. "What is wrong?" Asked Talia, "I feel like we are being followed.." said Daniel as he looked all around him, "I do not see anything my love" said Talia, a few seconds later Talia and Daniel continued walking through the streets unaware that death was stalking them.
A short time later Talia and Daniel had arrived at the graveyard and sat on a bench beneath a large oak tree,"graveyards are always so peaceful" said Talia as the rain continued to fall hard and fast. "I agree" said Daniel as he looked around, "what is it?" Said Talia, "I am still feeling like someone is following us, watching us.." said Daniel as the wind blew around them.
Then suddenly a figure emerged from the shadows and stood at the center of the graveyard, "look!" Said Talia as the figure finished transforming. It was the mummy!, "the mummy!, it has followed us here" said Daniel as the mummy walked slowly towards them, "maybe it wants the figurine we took.." said Talia, Daniel reached into his pocket and took out the figurine he had found back in Egypt.
"You were carrying that with you the whole time?" Said Talia, "I like it, I wanted to keep it close" said Daniel as the mummy moved closer and closer. The mummy groaned and wailed as it stared at Talia and Daniel with it's pitch black coloured eyes, the smell of rotten flesh and flies buzzing in the air like before back in Egypt, "give it the figurine my love" said Talia.
Daniel stood up and reached out his hand and held out the figurine to the mummy, "please take it.." said Daniel, a moment later the mummy took the figurine and groaned. Then suddenly the mummy spoke, "Death...is coming..." It said, then several moments later the mummy vanished, "I do not like the sound of that.." said Daniel, Talia stood up and held his hand and then they left the graveyard and headed home.
As Talia and Daniel walked home through the storm a dark figure appeared in the graveyard beside a gravestone, the dark figure stood there in the storm and watched silently. The dark figure's black hooded robe flowed in the strong wind as the lightning flashed amongst the dark clouds, "your time has come..." Said the dark figure as he held an hourglass in his left hand.
