On 22 April 2025, the pahalgam terror attack took place in bisaran valley, Jammu and Kashmir, when 2 to 7 heavily armed terrorists entered the tourist meadow through near by the forests and open fire on civilians between 1pm to 3pm. The attackers used AK-47s and M-4 carbines, targeted tourist's gathered for pony rides and picnics, and killed 26 people while injuring morethan 20, making it the deadliest civilian attack in India since 2008. Victims were identified based on religion, with men separated and shot at close range, while panic spread across the valley as people tried escape by climbing fences or hiding. Most of those killed were tourist's from across India, and one local resident died while trying to protect others.

We pay deepest respect and condolences to every innocent life lost in pahalgam attack, a tragedy that shook Jammu and Kashmir, India, and the entire nation.

Exactly one year ago on this day, the peaceful hilly valleys of Kashmir were shaken by the cries of innocent people. Those who fell victim to brutality in search of beautiful memories are immortal in our memory today. No gun or hate speech can break the spirit of a country. The blood of these martyrs of Pahalgam reminds us that there is nothing more precious than peace. On this day of mourning, let us resolve that we will dispel this darkness not with hatred, but with the power of love. May their souls rest in eternal peace.
