When I walk in to Gelati Celeste a board prominently visible at the entrance “Without Ice Cream, there would be darkness and chaos”. I am not sure about that, but how about if there is no music or motion picture?! I would concur that there would be more chaos! Well, few may not agree! But that’s how it is. Movie watching is a special experience, not just the movie that you are watching makes it special, but there are lot of other factors contribute to it. Watching with your family, friends, first girl friend or boyfriend, after the break-up, after a loss, after jumping the hostel gate and watching a midnight show with friends……..the list goes on. Those memories makes it more worthwhile when it comes to watching a movie. It carries a special memory and when you look back, on so and so occasion or what ever you recollect the moment very fondly. Okay…enough, I cut the crap and coming directly to why I am here. I am going to list out the movies that I have watched over a period of time. I am no arguing or saying that these are the best, but from my memory lane, these are the best. I try to break it down by genre to the best of my knowledge and keep them to at least 10 and sometimes I might list out more as I couldn’t resist listing them.

Society of the Snow (2023) - Adventure/Thriller - Available on Netflix.

This movie was suggested by a friend couple of months ago even before it was nominated for academy awards for the best movie in foreign language section.

This master piece captures the crash and struggles of the survivors of the 1972 Uruguayan flight.

This is so boring movie in its essence if you don’t like this kind of genre, but if you have patience - it’s a celluloid master piece! There is nothing like, you like it or don’t like it movie, this is a movie you live with -where the spiritual “faith” blurred between benevolence and/or blight.

When we all live in our comfort zones and “bored” to death and think of suicides, this movie teaches - fucking survive at any cost even if it needs cannibalism!

If you decide to watch , please keep attention to the conversations/ subtitles as this is in Spanish.

What happens when the whole world abandons you ? What happens when you don’t have clothes in freezing winter ? Some call it a tragedy, but some call it a miracle! As circumstances teach us the utmost importance of survival.

Watch it if you have patience!

Thanks for suggesting @Furiosa
