The rain continued to fall hard and fast as Odysseus , Hercules , Perseus and their crew sailed onwards towards the next island. "Land ahead!" Said Odysseus as he pointed towards an island , the crew rowed harder as they steered the ship towards the island ahead of them , a short time later they had arrived at the island and anchored the ship by the shore before climbing off.
"Ok men , I do not want to lose anymore of you , I want you to stay here and set up camp" said Odysseus , moments later Odysseus , Hercules and Perseus walked across the golden coloured sand towards the hill. As they walked towards the hill the crew began to set up camp for their return , Odysseus , Hercules and Perseus walked up the hill as the rain began to slow down a little.
Fifteen minutes later they had arrived at the top of the hill and looked around , "look over there" said Perseus , "what do you see?" Asked Hercules. "I see a village to the northeast" said Perseus , "let us go and see what is there" said Odysseus , moments later the heroes walked across the hill and then down towards the northeast , "we shall be there soon" said Odysseus.
The rain had finally stopped and the clouds had passed by as the heroes walked a little faster , they were eager to meet some friendly people but little did they know that more danger lay in wait for them. "We are almost there" said Perseus as he grabbed his pouch and opened it , Perseus drank a little water and put his pouch away as they had almost reached the village.
Five minutes later they had finally arrived at the village , "it is quiet here" said Hercules , "where are all the people?" Said Perseus. "Hmm I do not know , let us look around and see" said Odysseus , the heroes walked around the village and searched for any people , "let us split up and search one area" said Odysseus , Hercules and Perseus nodded in agreement and a few moments later they split up.
Perseus went to the west side of the village and searched the houses as Hercules went to the east side of the village and did the same. Meanwhile Odysseus stayed at the center of the village and searched the market area , Odysseus searched the market and the surrounding area but had found nothing except for cobwebs , "hmm looks like the villagers abandoned this place" said Odysseus.
Meanwhile at the east side of the village...
Hercules searched the houses one by one trying to find clues , "nothing here but dust and cobwebs" sighed Hercules as he walked around one of the house's. On the west side of the village Perseus had finished searching the houses and headed towards the center of the village , moments later Perseus and Odysseus were standing side by side as they searched the center of the village together while they waited for Hercules.
"Where has Hercules gone?" Said Perseus , "hmm maybe he found something" said Odysseus , "let us go search for him" said Perseus. Moments later Odysseus and Perseus walked towards the east side of the village and began their search for Hercules , "why are there so many cobwebs here" thought Hercules as he searched the temple of Athena , "Hercules where are you?" Said Odysseus and Perseus.
"I am in the temple of Athena" said Hercules as he walked towards the exit , "ah there you are , did you find anything?" Asked Odysseus. "Nothing but cobwebs and dust!" Said Hercules , "hmm strange I found nothing at the west side of the village either except more cobwebs" said Perseus , "hmm yes I found the same" said Odysseus , suddenly the heroes heard a noise outside.
"What was that?!" Said Perseus , as the heroes turned around they were hit by a blast of silk like thread , "ugh what is going on!" Said Odysseus as Hercules dodged the blast of thread , "ugh I cannot move" said Perseus , "look there!!" Said Hercules as he pointed to a large figure , "what is that creature!" Said Perseus , suddenly the large creature leapt towards them.
It is Arachne!" Said Hercules , "what!? , who is that!?" Said Odysseus and Perseus , "Arachne was punished by my sister Athena" said Hercules. "What for?" Said Odysseus as he tried to escape from the sticky thread , "Arachne was arrogant and said she was better than anyone including Athena at handicrafts" said Hercules as he drew his sword , "so Athena punished Arachne for insulting her and turned her into a spider" said Perseus.
"Yes" said Hercules as Perseus tried to escape out of the sticky thread , "then she deserves her punishment" said Odysseus. Arachne moved closer and kept Hercules in her sight , "half woman and half spider and very dangerous" said Hercules as he moved around and gripped his sword firmly , "we are trapped in this sticky thread , it is up to you to defeat her!" Said Odysseus.
"Ah the legendary hero Hercules! , at last we meet" said Arachne as her pitch black eyes stared at him , "set my friends free or I shall be forced to slay you" said Hercules. "Your friends will stay there , they shall be my next meal" said Arachne , "I do not think so!" Said Hercules as his hair flowed in the wind , "let us see how strong you are" said Arachne , "stronger than you" said Hercules as he prepared to fight..
