Is Hooking up normal?

If both can walk away without confusion or pain, it works.

If one starts feeling more… it stops being simple.

But does hooking up with different people of the opposite gender reduce emotional stability? One would always change partners in case of minor inconvenience thinking its completely normal and there are many people out there available for intimacy...

It’s not about hooking up itself, but the mindset behind it.

If someone starts treating people as easily replaceable, it can affect emotional stability and make it harder to build real connections.

But if there’s clarity and self-awareness, it doesn’t have to be harmful.

When a person prioritizes only the body, they unknowingly close the door to their emotions. Emotionally detached intimacy may provide temporary relief, but it deprives them of the strange intoxication of true love.

Uhmm... It depends on the "INTENT" ... If you're aware about its effects and if there's clarity of thoughts in your minds then you're free to do what you want ... It should just not become a habit or the source of your connection with someone...

Absolutely! Physical intimacy may give you temporary pleasure but a person needs more than that in the long term... That's where deep emotional connection comes into picture ... In the long run you do need someone to understand you , to love you and to communicate with youu... And building such a relation with someone requires patience to handle someone's mood swings too... Hooking up reduces this ability because the mind thinks there are plenty of people available for intimacy which in turn results in decrease in the "emotional quotient"
