The wind howled eerily and the red sands shifted as Captain Black and his team walked onwards towards the source of the signal. Lieutenant Astra looked at her scanner then said "the signal is coming from that direction Captain" as she pointed towards the west, a moment later Captain Black and his team turned towards the west and walked towards the signal.
The wind became stronger and whipped up the red sands all around them, "Captain Black there's a sandstorm approaching" said Lieutenant Astra. "We need to find shelter before it reaches us!" Said Captain Black, "I see a cave over there" said Captain Fox as he pointed at a large rock formation, "let's move quickly" said Doctor Al-Ishaq, a moment later Captain Black and his team picked up speed and ran towards the rock formation.
Moments later they reached the rock formation and entered the cave just in time, just after entering the cave, the sandstorm engulfed the area around them. "Ugh great were stuck in here..." Said Captain Fox as he sat down and leaned against a wall, "how long will this sandstorm last for Lieutenant?" Asked Captain Black, "hmm I'm not sure, at least thirty minutes, maybe an hour" said Lieutenant Astra.
"Alright team let's check our supplies, we should have more than enough" said Captain Black, a few moments later Doctor Al-Ishaq saw green lights moving within the sandstorm. "Captain Black look!" Said Doctor Al-Ishaq, "the Martian Lord's!, they must know we're here, stay quiet" whispered Captain Black as the green lights moved through the sandstorm.
Captain Black and his team stayed silent hoping that the Martian Lord's would not find them, a few minutes later the green light's had gone. "Phew, that was lucky" said Captain Fox and then sighed in relief, "we might not be so lucky next time" said Doctor Al-Ishaq as she brushed her hair away from her eyes, Captain Black and his team drank a little water and ate a bit of food and talked for a short while.
After forty minutes everything went silent, "it's stopped, let's move quickly before another sandstorm shows up!" Said Captain Black. A few moments later Captain Black and his team left the cave and travelled onwards quickly across the red sands of Mars towards the signal, after nearly half an hour of walking through the Martian desert, Lieutenant Astra stopped and stood still for a moment.
"The signal is coming from the other side of that dune ahead of us, about thirty metres away" said Lieutenant Astra, Captain Black and his team ran up to the top of the dune and then stood there. They looked down and saw an abandoned facility just twenty meters in front of them, "so that's where the signal is coming from..." Said Captain Black, a minute or so later they all walked down the dune and headed towards the abandoned facility.
"Alright team stay alert and keep your guard up" said Captain Black as they had almost reached the abandoned facility, a matter of moments later they had reached the facility and stood outside the door. "Captain another sandstorm is coming" said Lieutenant Astra, "alright let's get inside the facility before it gets here" said Captain Black, Captain Fox opened the door and then entered the facility.
The others followed him inside and then closed the door, Captain Black and his team turned on their light's and began walking through the dark dusty corridors of the facility. "Stay close, we have no idea what to expect" said Captain Black, they walked further into the facility and then entered the power room, "alright let's turn the power back on" said Captain Fox.
"No wait!, we don't want the Martian Lord's to know we're in the this facility" said Captain Black, "hmm, good idea" said Captain Fox. Then suddenly Doctor Al-Ishaq heard a noise, "what was that noise?" whispered Doctor Al-Ishaq, Captain Black and his team pointed their guns at the doorway and lit up the corridor, "hmm, Captain Fox and Lieutenant Astra go check it out but stay close" said Captain Black.
Captain Fox nodded and a moment later he and Lieutenant Astra left the power room and went to investigate the noise they heard. "I don't like it here..." Said Doctor Al-Ishaq, "don't worry Talia, I won't let anything happen to you.." said Captain Black as he looked into her eyes and placed a hand on her shoulder, a moment later Captain Black and Talia left the power room and walked through the corridor towards the next room.
A few minutes later another noise echoed throughout the corridors, Captain Black activated his communicator, "Captain Fox, Lieutenant Astra are you ok?" He said quietly. There was no response and Captain Black and Talia became concerned, "what's happening, why are they not responding.." said Doctor Al-Ishaq, Captain Black held her close and said "I'm sure they're alright Talia, maybe the communicator's are just jammed or something" said Captain Black.
Captain Black and Talia walked slowly through the dark corridor, then suddenly the noise appeared once again, "get behind me Talia" said Captain Black quietly as he stared into the darkness. Captain Black thought he could see something move in the dark and raised his gun, everything went completely silent and then..."ROOARR", a strange creature emerged out of the darkness and slowly moved towards them.
