Laser and energy blasts flew through the air as the Aether agent's battled the Martian Lord's inside the hydroelectric dam. Captain Black fired a shot at the Martian Lord's leader and then quickly moved behind cover, his shot hit the leader in the shoulder wounding him, "KILL THEM!" shouted the Martian Lord's leader as he made his escape, "Lieutenant Astra go after the leader, I'll take care of the others" said Captain Black.
Lieutenant Astra nodded amd then chased after the Martian Lord's leader as Captain Black opened fire on the others, "I've got to be careful to not hit those explosives or this whole dam will blow" thought Captain Black. Meanwhile outside the dam, Lieutenant Astra chased the leader towards a clearing at the side of the canyon, "where is he going?" She wondered as the leader headed towards a dead end.
Back inside the hydroelectric dam, Captain Black unleashed a hail of laser blasts and killed a few of the Martian Lord's, "three down, only four more to go!" Thought Captain Black. A moment later Captain Black moved fast towards a new place of cover behind a desk and then opened fire once again, "ZAP!", Captain Black killed another Martian Lord and then ducked back down behind the desk.
Meanwhile back outside, Lieutenant Astra had the leader cornered or so she thought, "damn it, he's trying to board his spaceship!" She said. Within a few seconds Lieutenant Astra fired a shot at the spaceship, the laser hit the fuel tank and then.."KABOOM!!".., the spaceship exploded and debris flew everywhere, "a lucky shot!" Thought Lieutenant Astra as the leader fell onto the ground.
"Don't move or I'll shoot!" Said Lieutenant Astra as she pointed her gun at him, "this is not over, there are more of us!" Said the leader. Then suddenly the leader got up and ran towards Lieutenant Astra and fired an energy blast towards her, Lieutenant Astra dodged the energy blast and then fired a shot and watched as the laser flew through the air, a few seconds later the laser blast hit the leader and killed him.
"Damn Martian's..." Said Lieutenant Astra, moments later the leader's body faded away into nothingness like the last body did back at the metalworks factory. Several moments later Lieutenant Astra ran back towards the hydroelectric dam to help Captain Black fight the remaining Martian Lord's, back inside the hydroelectric dam Captain Black had killed all but one of the Martian Lord's.
He continued to fire laser blasts as the Martian Lord ran around the room, around two minutes later Lieutenant Astra had rejoined Captain Black and then aimed her gun at the Martian Lord. "NO!, WAIT!" shouted Captain Black but it was to late, Lieutenant Astra's shot missed and hit the detonator for the explosives, Captain Black quickly fired another shot and killed the last Martian Lord.
"We need to get out of here, the dam is going to blow!" Lieutenant Astra as she put her gun away, "if those explosives go off the dam will burst and the city will be flooded!" Said Captain Black. "What do we do?" Said Lieutenant Astra, "go, get out of here I'll take care of it" said Captain Black, Lieutenant Astra became silent for a moment, "go now, that's an order!" Said Captain Black.
Lieutenant Astra reluctantly evacuated the hydroelectric dam and ran as far away as she could, "right then, I must move fast!" Said Captain Black. A few seconds later he moved around the room quickly and collected the explosives one by one, "ugh where's the last one?" He thought as he looked around the room, then suddenly he saw the last explosive beneath a table and then collected it.
"Time to get out of here!" Said Captain Black as he ran through the dam towards the exit, a couple of minutes later he exited the dam and ran as fast and as far away as he could. "Ugh fifteen seconds before these things blow, I need to get further away from the dam!" He thought as he ran faster towards safety, 12 seconds later he had finally reached a safe place and then realised it was he could do no more.
Then a few seconds later, "KABOOOOM!!", the explosives went off in his arm's, Lieutenant Astra saw the explosion as she was standing by their car in the city below. Epheros Valley was safe from the explosion and the Martian Lord's but at what cost, "Captain Black...no!!" Said Lieutenant Astra as a cloud of smoke burst into the air, meanwhile a safe distance away from the dam Captain Black lay there in the ash and dust, his body lifeless and covered in smoke and dust.
