If I could paint this world,
With the love I have inside.
Dapple the tears of my emotions,
A watercolour that cried.

If I could paint the sky,
With a palette of azure blue.
With each stroke of the brush,
I'd paint a cloud for me and you.

If I could paint the sea,
With depth and mystery.
I’d paint it's changing moods,
Raging,calm and serenity.

If I could paint hurt,
In the deepest blood red.
The pointless canvas of war,
Is it possible to paint the spirit of the dead?

If I could paint love,
I'd paint it honest and pure.
If love can be the catalyst to heal,
I'd paint the most beautiful cure.

If I could paint mankind,
Would it be a picture of greed?
Inflated egos of despots,
While children suffer in need.

If only a painting could change this world,
I would paint for all my worth.

A portrait of you mother earth.
