How you read anything?

I am not sure how you read long posts or even documents at work. But by default I have one habit … I never read any document or post or even book from start to end …
Depending on context, I first glance the write up, most of the time last section of write up is the crux.
Then I scan for some keywords to understand the full context.
If it interests me then I read full write up.
Some rules i follow on social platforms - interesting topic, length of post ( if fits on mobile screen it interests me), crisp and clear, sudden twists towards end, no matter how serious or funny it is, I love contents meaningful or climax funniest or too serious, paragraphed well, no repetition.

I don’t know why I am writing all this. I’m not high or something, just wondering why i don’t respond to many of posts I read.

some thoughts came to my mind.

Just so you know, I am expert reader. I have provided most accurate ballpark project estimate within hour for 50+ pages requirements many times.

Later I found there are now courses for reading fast by keywords which I am doing for years.

Do you follow anything like that ?

That’s a smart habit! It’s not about reading everything, but understanding what truly matters... :)

I skip-read all the time, but it did not start that way, or else I would not have learned much. Only when I had read a lot and it became repetitive did I resort to skip-reading. Still, depending on what is in front of me and my purpose, I choose to peruse or read in detail.
For forum posts, I prefer one-minute reads.
