How We Masterfully Wasted 8 Months of 2025

Alright, confession time, folks… Here we are, 8 months into 2025, and I think we’ve all collectively nailed the art of procrastination.
Remember when we said “This year is going to be different!”? Yeah, about that... If I could track how many hours I’ve spent looking for motivation on YouTube or scrolling through memes instead of actually, you know, doing something, I’d probably need a whole new calendar.

My personal highlights of this very productive 2025 so far:
  • Spent 2 hours looking for the perfect playlist to help me “get in the zone” while avoiding work.
  • Did 10-minute workouts... every other day… for 2 days straight.
  • My "tomorrow" list has officially become my favorite bedtime story.
  • Binge-watched entire series in a single sitting like I was training for the Olympics.
And now… drumroll… I’m here to ask you all, my fellow champions of delay:
What’s been your signature move in the procrastination Olympics of 2025?
Did you start 5 things and finish none?

Did you "accidentally" become a meme expert in the process? Or
maybe you found the world’s best excuse to avoid doing that one thing you really should have done by now?

Drop your most hilarious, adorable, or perfectly relatable procrastination stories below. I’m dying to hear how you've mastered this art! We’re in this together, no judgment, just love and laughs.

:cry1: Tears of joy running down my cheeks. Finally found one genuine person @MoonFlare for writing such motivational story. Showing all sympathy with people who succeeded in getting failures. Its kind of rare to read. Such a positive thinking to get pleasure and share it with fellow participants for doing nothing. I was worried , people will scold me for doing nothing but here its appreciated and getting highlighted with other fellow same mindset people. Today I felt proud for my decision to join zozo and get opportunity reading & motivated for keep doing nothing. I wanted to prepare list of my goals and zero progress in it but time being I postponed listing it .Dont want to miss opportunity in getting nominated in few top procrastinators. I really feel proud of you @MoonFlare.

@Dom55 Wow, I didn’t expect all those tears! But seriously, it means a lot to hear that from you. I’m just out here trying to spread some positivity, and you’ve totally made my day.
As for the procrastination—hey, it’s all about pacing yourself, right? Don’t stress, you’re doing great! Proud of you too, Dom! Keep doing your thing. ✨

Your title reminds me of the old lady who said that now 1 hour is 40 minutes. Old watches work slowly, but new watches work fast.

If i think and ask myself, what have been doing for the last 10 months ?->> :map:

But yeah, i am a workaholic, so I've accelerated my knowledge opening new doors in the technology.

I love to watch anime and it has now become a wild fire habit.:mmm:

I can do a stage presentation on the professional life like it's nothing.
But I can't even make a small funny gesture in front of a crowd or public ( ex like singing or dancing), i would swet and die if faced a situation like this.:Laugh1:
I can never overcome this and don't have any excuses.I've been missing this new year resolution for the last 10 years nearly.

Started to love my loneliness very much.
"Lesser the people, More of inner peace" is a major lesson in this year:fingercross:

Haha, I love that! Honestly, that explains so much — time has been feeling suspiciously fast and slow at the same time. Maybe it’s not procrastination… maybe the clocks are just gaslighting us now?

Still waiting for that magical watch that only speeds up during chores and slows down during naps. Until then, I’ll be here, mastering the ancient art of doing absolutely everything except what I planned. ✨

Okay wow, you just hit every corner of the procrastination-to-productivity spectrum like a pro! Jack..

On one hand, you're out here leveling up in tech like it’s your main quest… and on the other, anime has quietly taken over like a side quest that became the entire game Respect!

Also, I felt that stage fright bit. You know am a classical dancer also I can confidently present a PowerPoint to 100 people but ask me to sing "Happy Birthday" in a group and suddenly I’m questioning all my life choices.

And this--Lesser the people, more of inner peace—might just be the quote of the year. Solitude really is underrated magic.

So hey, who knows, maybe 2026 will be the year you finally add “one (1) public dance move” to your list of achievements? I’ll cheer you on from the sidelines with snacks.

Classical dancer.
Wow.
Then it should be the vice versa on the last point you've added:Laugh1:

Haha fair enough! But plot twist--- I used to be a classical dancer... keyword: used to.
It’s been 5 years since I last danced, so now if someone asks me to perform, I just pretend I’ve pulled a mysterious knee injury. Instant exit plan.

At this point, my flexibility is purely emotional, and the only thing I’m balancing these days is my procrastination with mild panic.
So yeah... from stage lights to fairy lights in my room.

Time for a come back after 5 years :fingercross::Laugh1:
