President Ram Nath Kovind will on Tuesday embark on a four-day official visit to Kerala. As per the official statement, the President is scheduled to be in Kerala from December 21 to 24, during which he will attend a number of events.

On the second day, President Kovind will visit the naval base in Kochi to witness the operational demonstration by the Southern Naval Command.
 

Kerala gets its biggest mall in Thiruvananthapuram​

With a built-up space of 2 million sq ft and located at Akkulam on NH 66 bypass, in close proximity to Technopark, Lulu Mall has been built with an investment of Rs 2,000 crore.​

The most awaited Lulu Mall in Thiruvananthapuram, which is also the biggest mall in Kerala, has finally opened its gates for consumers.

With a built-up space of 2 million sq ft and located at Akkulam on NH 66 bypass, in close proximity to Technopark, Lulu Mall has been built with an investment of Rs 2,000 crore.

The mall has been built by the Lulu Group in close association with the state government.

At the launch, M.A Yusuff Ali, Lulu Group CMD expressed his happiness and also thanked the government for the support, saying that Kerala is an investment-friendly state.

Lulu Group has provided more than 10,000 job opportunities with this project alone, he added.

As per reports by the Indian Retailer, the mall has been awarded the Indian Green Building Council’s Gold Certificate for environment-friendly construction.

- One of the biggest attractions of the Lulu Mall includes a nearly 1,000 ft long roll glider that circulates the food court. Being the largest indoor entertainment zone in the country, the mall has 6 lane bowling alleys, a 6,000 sq ft trampoline, climbing for adults and kids, Tag Arena, 7D theatre with interactive games, a roller coaster and arcade games with VR zone, carousel and more.

- The mall also features a 2,500-seater food court including restaurants and cafes serving various specialty, regional and international cuisines.
