The Atlantean
Epic Legend
The tree's blossomed as winter ended and spring began , the sun shone brightly over Greece as two hero's Hercules and Odysseus travelled across the land. Hercules and Odysseus walked through the lush green fields as they headed towards a small village by the coast , half an hour later Hercules and Odysseus saw the village ahead of them and walked a little faster , a few minutes later Hercules and Odysseus had finally arrived at the village.
"Smell that fresh sea air Hercules , there's nothing like it" said Odysseus as he smiled , Hercules and Odysseus walked further into the town and then stood still for a moment. "Hmm , where is everyone?" Said Hercules as he looked around , "I don't know , someone should be here" said Odysseus , suddenly they heard a noise coming from the harbour , Hercules and Odysseus drew their swords and slowly and quietly made their way to the harbour.
Hercules and Odysseus sneaked behind some barrels and waited to see what was making the noise , suddenly a group of harpies appeared as they walked towards their direction. "Harpies!" whispered Odysseus , "this should be an easy fight" said Hercules , suddenly Hercules burst out from behind the barrels and attacked the harpies , Odysseus sighed and then leapt out from behind the barrels and joined Hercules , the harpies screeched as they retaliated.
The harpies swiped at Hercules and Odysseus , their razor sharp claws narrowly avoiding them , Hercules and Odysseus swung their swords through the air and landed deadly blows to a few of the harpies killing them instantly. Blood dripped onto the golden coloured sand as Hercules and Odysseus continued to attack the harpies , Hercules thrust his fist through the air and punched one of the remaining harpies sending it into the ground hard.
Odysseus thrust his sword down into the harpies chest as it lay in the sand and killed it , Hercules caught another harpie in mid air and threw it towards a marble pillar. The harpie smashed into the marble pillar and shattered it in half , moments later the last two harpies screeched then flew away and retreated as fast as they could , Hercules and Odysseus put their swords away and a few moments later villagers came out of their homes.
"Thank you for saving us" said one of the women as she walked up to Hercules and Odysseus , "no need to thank us" said Hercules as he smiled at her. "We must hold a feast for you" said the woman , "well we could not say no to a feast" said Odysseus , "very well , then the feast shall be held in your honour tonight" said the woman , Hercules and Odysseus smiled at the thought of all that delicious food that awaited them.
