Deep inside the depths of the underworld was a man called Eris
He lived in the deepest area of the underworld...Tartarus
Then one day he had had enough and wanted to leave
He had asked Hades god of the dead to set him free
Hades refused and said that nobody could ever leave the underworld
Eris defied Hades and decided to leave, or at least die trying...
While Hades back was turned...Eris sneaked out
Eris fought his way through Tartarus and past the monsters
He thought it was to easy so proceeded onwards to Asphodel
Asphodel the middle of the underworld was filled with more dangerous monsters
However...Eris was determined to fight his way through
He fought bravely and slayed the monsters within Asphodel
The monsters were stronger in Asphodel than they were in Tartarus
But somehow Eris still felt it was to easy getting this far
He had reached Elysium, he was getting closer to freedom now
Eris battled the demon's valiantly with courage
He had finally vanquished the demon's of Elysium
All that stood between him and freedom now was Cerberus
Eris reached the temple of styx and saw Cerberus guarding the gates
He had to be clever this time, he could not risk slaying Cerberus
Otherwise the gates of the underworld would be unprotected
Instead of fighting Cerberus, Eris decided to trick him instead
Eris threw some meat from the monsters he had slain and threw it
Cerberus smelled the flesh and went to investigate
As Cerberus was distracted by the flesh, Eris sneaked past him
Eris opened the gates of the underworld and made his escape
Once outside on the surface he saw a man standing before him
It was Hades himself!, he asked Eris what he thought he was doing
Eris told Hades that he was adamant to leave the underworld
Hades grumbled and reminded him that there was no escape
Eris defied Hades and decided to battle for his freedom
Hades was to strong so Eris used his wits as well as his strength
But Eris had made a fatal mistake thinking that he was smarter than a god
And after their intense battle Eris fell to his knees and begged for mercy
Hades refused to show mercy after Eris's defiance toward him
He told Eris that he will remain in the underworld to serve him
Hades turned his back on him, It was then that Eris took a risk and ran
Eris ran as fast as he could towards freedom, towards safety
But he was not quick enough and Hades blasted him from behind with his powers
Hades sent Eris back into the depths of the underworld, back to Tartarus
But Eris never stopped trying, never stopped losing hope
And continued to try and escape the underworld, to escape Hades over and over
Only to ultimately fail his goal of being free
Hades would never let him escape...never...
