One month later...
Summer had arrived and the sun was shining brightly over Blackthorn Valley , the annual summer faire was already in full swing as the townsfolk filled the streets. Music could be heard throughout the entire town as musicians played on several streets , the townsfolk walked around the market as the steam train brought visitors from the nearby town , in the center of the town a group of people sang songs as the smell of food filled the air.
7 hours later...
The summer faire was still going strong as the sun had set , Daniel and Talia had left their house and walked through the busy streets , a few minutes later they had arrived at the center of the town and sat down on a bench. They watched as the townsfolk played some games and others were sitting around tables eating , "this is exciting" said Talia as she smiled at Daniel and placed her hand on his shoulder , "shall we play a game?" Asked Daniel.
Talia nodded and said "yes let us play that game over there" as she pointed to the right , a moment later they stood up and walked over towards one of the games. "Try to knock all of these glass milk bottles over and you will win a prize miss" said the man , the man handed Talia five small balls and then stepped out of the way , Talia threw two of the balls at the bottles but missed , "almost got them my love" said Daniel , Talia threw another two balls and the bottles and hit them.
The bottom bottles fell and the rest above them also fell , "only one more left" said Daniel as Talia concentrated on the last remaining glass bottle. A few months later she threw the last ball through the air at the last bottle , the ball hit the bottle hard and made it wobble , "yes fall!" Said Talia hopefully , a moment later the last bottle fell over and she sighed in relief , "congratulations miss , here is your prize" said the man as he handed her a small porcelain figurine.
"It is interesting" said Talia as she looked at the small porcelain figurine , the porcelain figurine was in the shape of a cute pig , "Yes I like it too" said Daniel as he smiled at her , a few minutes later they moved to another game , "get all the hoops around the sticks and win a prize" said the man , the man handed Daniel five hoops and stepped aside , Daniel threw one hoop after another successfully getting each one around the sticks.
"Well done sir , here is your prize" said the man as he handed him a little money , "a couple of guineas , I can spend these now" said Daniel as they walked towards the woman beside the fountain. "I'll take three of those flower's please" said Daniel , "that will be two guineas please sir" said the woman as she handed the flower's to him , a moment later Daniel gave the flower's to Talia , she thanked him and then they continued to walk around.
A few people walked past them and lit the gaslight street lamps , the soft orange glow of the gaslight street lamps filled the area around them as they walked onwards. Daniel and Talia spent a few hours at the summer faire until they decided to go home , after a short time they had arrived back at their home and went inside then sat down , Talia sat there and looked at her little porcelain pig figurine and then placed it on the table beside her.
Talia handed Daniel the flower's he had bought her and he placed them in the vase on the small table on his side , "this has been one of the best day's I have ever had in over two hundred years" said Talia as she smiled at Daniel. Daniel wrapped his arms around her and held her close as he kissed her soft lips , "I wish every day was like this" said Talia as she rested her head on his shoulder , "as do I Talia my love" said Daniel.
