It is 427 BC in Athens Greece , it was another day in paradise as the sun shone bright in the clear blue sky and the blossoming trees moved in the cool fresh wind as the sea shimmered beneath the sunlight. The sea was so clear that you could see the fish swimming around the colourful coral reefs , a woman called Katerina was standing on the beach staring out to sea.
Her long brown hair flowed in the wind and her brown eyes glimmered like crystals in the sunlight , Katerina felt the warmth of the sun and the cool wind brush against her soft olive tanned coloured skin as she waited for her lover to come home , a short time later Katerina saw a warship heading towards the city , "is it him?" She thought as the warship sailed towards the harbour.
Katerina walked towards the harbour as fast as she could as the warship came closer , a few minutes later the warship had docked at the harbour and soldiers stepped onto the stone path. Katerina had arrived at the harbour and looked around for her lover , "Alexandros!" Said Katerina as she saw him standing on the warship , Alexandros climbed off the warship and walked towards her.
Katerina ran towards Alexandros and then embraced him , "I am happy that you are safe" said Katerina as she smiled at him , "we were victorious , we slayed many Persian's" said Kostas , his armour stained with Persian blood and smoke. "Let us go home and get you dressed in some clean clothes" said Katerina as she smiled at him , a few moments later Katerina and Alexandros left the harbour and walked through the streets towards their home.
A short time later Katerina and Alexandros had arrived home , as Alexandros bathed himself Katerina was cooking a meal for them. The smell of roasted fish and vegetables filled their home , ten minutes later Alexandros had finished bathing and Katerina was placing the food onto the table , "that smells good , I have not had a meal like this while I was away fighting the Persian's" said Alexandros.
"Then you shall enjoy it , the fish was freshly caught this morning" said Katerina , Alexandros took a breath and inhaled the smell of the fresh vegetables. "The vegetables were picked from Delphi's farm this morning" said Katerina , "I have not seen Delphi since I left" said Alexandros , "she is doing well" said Katerina as Alexandros ate the meal Katerina had cooked for them.
Half an hour later...
Katerina and Alexandros had finished their meal and sat on the chair beside the window , suddenly the citizens of Athens were screaming as they ran through the streets. "What is happening!?" Said Katerina , Alexandros stood up and looked through the window and saw a large whirlpool forming by the harbour...
